After an initial meeting, we decided to sign a contract for the purchase of our first home. The real estate agent has been very involved from the orientation until now, after the purchase. Within a very short time we were able to buy our first home thanks to the help (both advice, as well as submitting a suitable offer, as well as arranging the technical building inspection, as well as finding a notary in the surrounding area within a short time) from Schieland Borsboom. These brokers unfortunately engage in ethnic profiling when it comes to the rental properties they offer. We know this because we have sent multiple emails as a response to a rental property as a potential tenant with a non-Western background and received responses stating that there was already a client being discussed. At the same time, we posted a reply with a Western background and yes indeed, we were able to make an appointment for a viewing of exactly the same property. And this for a total of 3 properties, the same story. This is called discrimination in common parlance and it is prohibited. This is truly something that needs to be addressed because it cannot and must not happen in the Netherlands.

A cool head and warm heart is apparently the slogan of this realtor. It should rather be a cold head and cold heart. Only because I signed during the non-binding intake consultation but indicated within a week that I was withdrawing due to unforeseen circumstances. I explained the reason and asked if it couldn't be different, because 600 euros is quite strict. But no, you signed so you have to pay. Unfortunately, I have a nervous system disease and am therefore 100% disabled. Also the reason for moving to Spain due to the warm climate. But then I got vocal cord cancer and our plan fell through. I ended up in another medical rollercoaster again. That was the reason we withdrew. I also explained this to Schieland and Borsboom. And Kerwin would look into what he could do. Heard nothing more from Kerwin but suddenly, after a few months, an invoice via email. So I called Mr. Kees Jan Borsoom himself, but he brushed aside all my arguments as well. I did not pay the invoice. Meanwhile, almost 2 years later, I am receiving a payment reminder. Would these people see a little understanding or humanity if that's how you have to earn your money. Look, were there costs incurred like photos and folders, it seems only normal. But just because I signed during a non-binding intake consultation BAM! PLEASE! Here is your invoice.
