Schouten uses an honest and transparent rate and exceeded expectations by selling our house for more than the dreamed amount. I sold my house through Schouten real estate agents. They are very accessible via email and by phone. When I thought the sale of my property (apartment) would take a long time, Marcel and other colleagues reassured me, which I appreciated. They did their utmost to sell it for the price I wanted, and they certainly succeeded. Highly recommended!

Mr. Schouten stalled our search for a home by repeatedly saying after an agreement on the bid that the 'purchase contract was coming', 'no, there are no other bids in the background'. We indicated that we had an appointment with the financier and therefore would like to have a purchase contract ready by then, which would at least be prepared for the meeting. Viewings were cancelled in the meantime and other homes were passed up. At the moment when we have the mortgage consultation, Mr. Schouten sends an email saying they received a higher bid!

What a nasty experience! I would like to spare everyone this broker. What went wrong? Besides the fact that the broker often hides behind lies (“no, there’s no problem with the shower”, “the keys are with the notary”, “the notary can best help you with this, the seller should have solved it but I am doing everything to resolve the issue”, “yes, I invited the seller to be present at the inspection, how strange that he wasn't”), he and his daughters appear incompetent in many respects. They claimed to work with standard NVM purchase contracts, however, these contained parts that are not included in the standard contracts and which every lawyer or jurist would warn you as a buyer about. In addition, the broker is extremely rude, for example, he hangs up the phone when my wife calls him. The office also sends unjustified bills and threats. Furthermore, it turned out that the broker claimed to have contacted the seller regarding an issue during the inspection and couldn’t reach him. With the notary present, we called the seller and he simply picked up directly. He was astonished that the inspection had been carried out without him, as another date had been given to him.

Only a few hours before the viewing cancelled in a very rude manner. That the property was sold before the viewing can happen, but the tone makes the music. The way I was cancelled was extremely impolite.
