I worked with Roos and she was amazing: she helped us get an idea of what was possible, the current prices, to understand how we needed to be ready to execute if we found a place, and coached us through big and small details while we looked for a place in the US. She was the point of contact for correspondence with potential landlords, conducted video viewings, and even went back multiple times to inventory the furniture and kitchen appliances to help us understand what we needed to pack and purchase once we arrived at the apartment. She facilitated setting up utilities and really helped us go from a fruitless search to securing an apartment and moving in within about 3 weeks. Fantastic team of people. My girlfriend and I bought a house after corona, a difficult time to do so. 27House quickly put us at ease. We are the proud owners of a small piece of Amsterdam's historic city center, a beautifully recently restored building with two apartments of approximately 100 m2 each on the Prinsengracht. We acquired the property about six years ago and decided to use one of the apartments for ourselves as our getaway in Amsterdam and to rent out the second apartment to generate some income from the building. I would never do business with this party. Simply not clean through and through. They go back on agreements and are very pushy about collaborating with certain parties, such as a notary and mortgage provider.

I have called them 3 times to request their services and each time they note my name and phone number and say that they will call me back, but they never do. Ultimately called for the 4th and last time, this time they asked for my email address so they could send me all the information, but of course I received nothing from them. This was really surprising, since all other brokers I called were happy to help me find an apartment and responded very quickly.

At 27 Huis I worked together with Sjoerd Kalwij, and I couldn't recommend him or the rest of the team highly enough. I always felt that Sjoerd wanted the best solution for me and was fully prepared to put in hours helping. He took the time to help me with one option (switching and renovating) which would have actually meant that 27Huis earned *much* less money! When it came to viewing new apartments, I felt like I could really trust his opinion. He pulled me out of a few bad decisions, and so when I found one that got his seal of approval, I could rely on it. :-) I felt like he did extra homework and extra work to make sure it was the right decision, and that everything went smoothly. Couldn't recommend it strongly enough.

I asked a few weeks in advance for their help to find an apartment for me and at first they seemed very nice and helpful. But as the date approached to move to Amsterdam, they didn't send me any options. Absolutely no help. My contact person was Dominique Groothuis who probably spends more time on her Instagram than finding a house for you.

Great experience buying my first house. I worked with Alex Visser and he was super helpful throughout the entire process, from the initial meeting to the final closing, very professional, knowledgeable, responsive and reliable and perhaps most importantly: a good person to work with. If they say they will rent out your apartment on a no-cure-no-pay basis, that is NOT TRUE. Check articles 13.f and 13.g in the contract. The other agencies I used were honest in their 'no cure, no pay' promise and did not charge me any fees if they didn't rent it out. 27 House had 4 weeks to rent out my house and brought 2 visitors to view it (neither of them wanted it). I posted it on Facebook. Within 12 hours, I had arranged 4 viewings, 3 came, and all 3 wanted to come by.

Ideal for expats! Friendly service that is excellent! I have used them for renting, selling and buying homes in Amsterdam. I have been using their services for ten years. They speak perfect English and Dutch. The owner is himself an expat and knows all the pitfalls and positive points of renting or selling in a rapidly moving market.

I will NOT recommend renting from this agency. I rented one apartment on Warmoesstraat. When I wanted to stop renting the property, I informed the landlord, she asked if I could move out two weeks earlier than planned, so that she could rent out the property. Until then, everything was fine... Although I was hardly ever there (because I am an expat and travel a lot) and took very good care of the place, there were no problems during check-out. I even received compliments on how clean the place looked and how kind I was to be willing to move out earlier. After that, I never heard from the landlord again; she withheld half of my deposit because she claimed she had never asked if I could move out earlier, while I have proof by mail and the real estate agency in cc. I contacted her several times, but she refused to answer her email or pick up the phone. The agency admitted that the landlord was wrong, but took no action or responsibility (the contract was drawn up by them). Later they changed this story, they lied about the fact that the new tenant would no longer rent the property, and I had to pay until the contract was over, while I found out that was not the case. We never got our money back...
