Typical Amsterdam real estate agent. I strongly advise to look for an alternative if possible. After being insulted on the phone while negotiating prices, they try at the end of your rental agreement, together with the landlord, to maximize the deposit. For example, we were charged the full amount for a washing machine that was included in the rent and which, according to them, needed to be replaced. In the same area, carpets and wall paint with minimal wear and tear had to be completely renewed at our expense.

I found my apartment in Amsterdam thanks to Absolute Housing. The agent was extremely patient with all my requests and also very professional and friendly. I absolutely recommend Absolute Housing if you are looking for an apartment in the Amsterdam jungle.

I called the office number for the first time to describe my situation as I am looking for a rental apartment. I received a call back from Wytse and I must say that I encountered very unfriendly behavior from him. I explained to him that I am an expat student and have been living in Amsterdam for years and informed him about my situation and budget (which is quite high, 2,5k euros per month). He immediately rejected me and claimed that it is not his policy to house people with foreign income, and generally he was aggressive on the phone and told me to ask my landlord if I had any objections. Why would you state that you house expats if an income statement from abroad is a dealbreaker? Unprofessional and rude, I do not recommend! UPDATE: Wytse called me this morning and tried to intimidate me into removing the review and only after I agreed to remove the review did he have the courtesy to admit that he was unprofessional in our phone conversation yesterday. Apparently, according to Wytse, having a budget of 2,5k euros per month for a 2 bedroom apartment in Amsterdam is equivalent to 'trying to buy a Ferrari with 1k euros in your pocket.' This is the embodiment of the sad state in which the Amsterdam housing market currently finds itself and I quote Wytse from today: 'I work for the landlords and not for you'.

It was a great pleasure to work with the team at Absolute Housing. In our case, they represented the landlord, but we clearly felt their careful attention to the interests of both parties. The process went incredibly fast and smoothly, all documents were prepared in a modern digital format, and completion took only a few minutes. We are sincerely grateful for such excellent service.
