They offered an apartment, made an appointment. Failed to show up, called ahead and was told they had sold the apartment without prior communication. They said they sent an email that never arrived. Poor communication and customer service/care

My partner and I came to visit an apartment this morning. We were on time, but no one showed up. I called to check the timing, but was told that someone else had already taken the place last week. At least let people know in advance if someone else has taken a place and don't waste people's time.

After terminating the contract with Amstelland Makelaars, they did not send me the final confirmation and also agreed with the apartment owner not to respond to me, while he did not return my security deposit. We had a very bad experience with Amstelland Makelaars. We got the impression that our offer on an apartment would be accepted. Later we found out that at the time the apartment was shown to us, it had already been promised to someone else. Our phone calls and emails to the agent were ignored after we submitted our personal documents and waited for the contract. When we expressed our dismay about the poor service, we were told: 'Sorry, that's how it is.' Fortunately, through another real estate agent who was friendly and reliable, we found a beautiful apartment. Be careful when dealing with these shy people.
