Through CITYHOP we had a viewing. After having submitted all our documents and several attempts at email and phone contact, we still heard nothing 3 weeks later. A short message would have been nice, even if we hadn't been selected. Especially considering the absurd amounts they ask for (€1800 euro for a social rental apartment of 50m2). Typical case of getting rich in your sleep… :)

They handle housing matters very poorly and extremely unprofessionally. It doesn't matter to them doing business with respect for the tenant. Especially Niels Keizer. Avoid.

Pleasant and efficient collaboration with Robert. Instead of spending hours searching on websites, Robert can immediately find something through his contacts with various owners. He understands exactly what I'm looking for and arranges everything. Key handover and follow-up went well!

I would like to write this review today to inform future customers about the convenience and reliable customer service I received from City Hop Real Estate. Robert was a great help with the entire moving process, from the first to the last step. He not only found the perfect apartment for me, but he also helped with the installation of a custom closet, blinds, and washer-dryer unit. Thanks to CITYHOP Real Estate, I found a new home within a month, even in these challenging times when it's difficult to find a house. The guidance from Robert from the beginning until the check-in was excellent. In short, if you are looking for a new home, CITYHOP is the perfect partner who acts quickly and transparently!

Had the construction supervision of my apartment carried out by Cityhop. They are a bit pricey, but ultimately I do have a beautiful home that is completely finished.

Stay away! They lie about Dutch law and contracts, they think people know less than they do, they don't dare to respect the law. I had to hire a Dutch lawyer to explain to them that it is not legal to enter an apartment without the tenant's permission, and that there would be legal consequences if he continued these practices. Robert Zeegers tried to enter the property I rented for a viewing, all without my permission and while I was working, he thought I wasn't home, I told him earlier that the date he wanted to view the department was not possible for me, so I suggested another date, but still he appeared on that date/time and tried to enter with the viewers, thinking I wasn't home and with all my belongings inside! Robert just told me that he can access any property he rents whenever he wants or needs it, without the tenant’s permission, because the contract says so, and since they are not the owners of the property, he always keeps a copy of the keys, so don't doubt that he will do it. I have it on video when he tried to break in and got angry because I told him he cannot enter the apartment I rented at the time he needs to do a viewing for the next tenants that he must ask for first availability and give a chance to store all belongings in a safe place. Also, Bart had to view the property 3 times for the next tenants but never showed up and I had to do the viewings and show the property, so practically I had to do their work. I don't know why property owners hire them! TIP OF THE DAY: Do not rent from them. If you already do: change the lock and place cameras at the entrance of your house, because Robert Zeegers can drop by for his viewings during your work. Don’t let him lie to you, hire a professional to guide you, don't allow them to undermine your rights, they lie about what Dutch law says.

Advertisements on their listings are not accurate. The post clearly stated that pets were allowed, but the agent then said there were no pets when I was notified of the rejection. I even added a screenshot of their advertisement stating that pets were allowed, but told that I was rejected due to pets. Prior to the rejection, I also received advice from the realtor to submit a higher rent in order to be seen as a more favorable candidate. It appears this could have been used to drive up rental bids below applicants in their favor.

The CityHop employees provide excellent real estate advice. There is a wide choice of beautiful renovated homes. They treat customers in a correct, smooth and enthusiastic manner. Good experiences.

Terrible experience, avoid this company. In all my previous dealings with real estate, I have never experienced anything as unprofessional as this. A definitive answer about an apartment was promised. But never received a word. Multiple times attempted to make contact. But they never responded. There are many more good property companies in Amsterdam that can help you.

I strongly advise individuals to exercise extreme caution when dealing with this broker. Their dishonesty, negligence, and disregard for the experiences of tenants are concerning. The false promises, the ongoing disruption of construction work, and the discriminatory practices have left me deeply dissatisfied. If you value transparency, honesty, and a respectful approach to tenant satisfaction, it is best to avoid this broker and seek alternatives that prioritize the well-being of their clients.

Beware! Flagrant lies about the house we were moving to. They let us bid on the rent and told us that a 'balcony would come soon', while the balconies were in reality never built and a few months later it turned out they were building a basement under the apartments where we live for the entire rental period (1.5 years). !) to ensure that we wake up every morning around 7 am with vibrating floors and heavy construction noise. It is better to stay away if there is no interest in the experiences of tenants and exclusively in exploitation. Interesting also that they almost exclusively accepted young women from abroad. It seems like a badly intended strategy.

I had a great experience with Bart! He responded very well from the beginning and after the visit he let me know in detail about the process. Robert was also very friendly and the process generally went very quickly. I am happy that I found the right apartment, even though I felt hopeless on the tight housing market in Amsterdam. My child, my pets and I will enjoy our new apartment thanks to you!

Terrible experience, Bart van Gellekom is one of the worst communicators I have ever encountered: unclear, rude and condescending. I wouldn't recommend even an enemy to try to rent a house from him. Perhaps my experience would have been different if I were Dutch :(

Great experience with CITYHOP, they communicate quickly and no question remained unanswered. A big compliment to the broker who helped me with my current apartment, I would recommend it to anyone looking for a place in Amsterdam! :)

Poor customer service and unfriendly attitude. It's also interesting that the 5-star reviews come from users without other review history. I would be cautious and choose brokers with higher ratings

The staff can be somewhat abrasive and unprofessional. There's an undertone that they are so busy that they don't appreciate your support. I would consider using another broker and spending your money where it is appreciated.

Incredibly unprofessional realtor. An appointment to view an apartment was arranged and a bid was immediately submitted. After requesting a response multiple times over four days without receiving any reply, I was informed that pets are not allowed. The realtor knew from the beginning that I had a dog and the advertisement still states that pets are allowed. Do not recommend due to the lack of communication, rude responses, and wasting my time.

They gave me an appointment to see the renovation of an apartment I was interested in. I called at least four times to discuss various things about the accommodation. I arrived on time for the meeting (which they had written in their agenda) and they never showed up. Afterwards, I called and they said the apartment had already been rented. It's a matter of respect for customers to at least call or cancel and not take time for granted, especially after having so much contact. Poor service!
