Last week arrived from Brussels for my work in Amsterdam, I was very surprised by the quick handling of Compass Housing regarding my urgent request for a good home in the heart of Amsterdam. I myself had anticipated a long search time! The opposite proved to be true; Compass Housing helped me find a beautiful home within a timeframe of only 3 days for the next 3 years! An absolute recommendation for expats!

Compass Housing helped me find reliable tenants for my apartment very quickly. Raoul and Patrick were very helpful with all the questions I had and guided everything excellently.

Yesterday, my partner unknowingly scheduled a viewing for a house at five o'clock. We were there promptly at five, but nobody was there. Very unprofessional, especially since we were assured that someone would be present. We both have busy jobs and it is therefore not easy for us. Disappointing organization!

Today I received an email from someone named Patrick: a person with the same surname as a realtor who runs this brokerage firm. For context: I lead an organization that tries to ban excessive costs by landlords. A few months ago, Compass Housing was visible on my social media channel. When Patrick found out, he complained to me and then tried to recruit me to destroy some of his competitors. I refused. Today 'Patrick' sent me an email with links to housing offers from competitors, pretending to be a tenant looking for a place to live. He asked me to check if the properties were too expensive. I believe the goal was to convince me to file lawsuits against the landlords of his competitors while leaving his own alone. When I asked 'Patrick' to further identify himself, he refused to respond. Unnecessary to say that I cannot recommend Compass Housing due to their fair business practices.

The professionalism and courtesy of the team made the entire process enjoyable. Thanks to their extensive network, I finally found a place after persistent efforts. I had a very discouraging experience with one of the agents, Nina Mac Lennan. After she hired a cleaning service for the house a day before check-out, the property underwent an appraisal, which resulted in a significant loss of the deposit. Despite multiple attempts to communicate via email, no response was received. For future clients, it would be helpful if there were clearer communications about the assessment process. I also see many reviewers whose only review here is 5/5. I would feel suspicious.

I used Compass (and worked directly with Patrick Gerritsen) for my search. We moved from Stockholm, Sweden to Amsterdam, Netherlands. We knew nothing about the Amsterdam rental market and were in for a surprise: bidding wars over rent and deposit! Compass Housing helped me find a home to my liking in Amsterdam. They were patient during the process which took about 3 months. Everyone was super helpful and reachable via WhatsApp during working hours. They helped me obtain viewings for apartments that I found through housing websites like Funda and Pararius. Sometimes they also suggested some really good (internally known) properties based on my search criteria. During the viewing, there was always someone from the company present to show me around. They were very quick in making an offer and very diligent in following up with the other agent for updates.
