The process was clear and there was nothing to object to. Everything you want to do to sell your house was adequately addressed.
The sale took a bit longer, But in general I am very satisfied with our cooperation. All the agents of the real estate agency are very nice and professional.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this real estate agency. Although the agent I worked with was always very friendly and helpful, he clearly made sure that I ultimately ended up making a bad deal. I decided to use an agent precisely to avoid unnecessary overbidding, save money and find a good house. It turned out to be exactly the opposite. I ended up offering 25,000 euros more than the asking price for a house with no other offers made on it: this means that a) I paid too much for a house that apparently is not attractive (very strange and a red flag in Amsterdam), which probably means I will have to sell it at a loss in the future and b) that I actually wasted 25,000 euros which I could have used for renovation costs. My final impression is that my agent and the seller's agent already knew each other, and that I was in fact encouraged to overbid to benefit the seller and close the deal, even though it was not a good house, so that I could subsequently pay for my own agent's services. This is unethical behavior, as the ultimate goal of my agent should have been to serve my own interests and not just to close a deal at any cost, solely to receive the payment. I will never hire an agent again!
We appreciate the time and effort the real estate agent has invested in the entire buying process. They were professional and courteous, and during viewings Remco was very proactive. However, our experience was not entirely satisfactory. During the bidding process we felt that the outcome was more favorable for the seller than for us as buyers, because initially we were told that the value of the house was higher than the final appraisal value, which was somewhat disappointing. Additionally, the communication was not always as clear or consistent as we had wanted. We were not informed of the necessity to attend the structural inspection on the day of the notary appointment, which caused us to miss that important step. All in all, although we acknowledge their work, there are points that could be improved for a more balanced and transparent process.
Our overall experience with The House中介 was fantastic. Our agent, Remco, responded quickly and was knowledgeable, and he was a great help in determining the right offer for the right apartment. Thanks to his help, we successfully bought the apartment we fell in love with in our favorite neighborhood in Amsterdam.
