We've now been living in our new house in Amsterdam for a week and a half. This agency is extremely unprofessional and discriminatory in the way they do business with expats. We visited on 28th for a viewing of one of their properties. We agreed with the representative of this company to send our documents so that we could be introduced to the landlord the following week. After sending them, they asked for further explanation, which was understandable given the unfamiliarity with foreign documents, and which we were happy to provide. Despite this happening, our appointment during the viewing and the constant communication with the agency, they simply did not fulfill their promise to introduce us to the landlord, and also refused to inform us. Instead, after collecting a large amount of personal documentation, they disappeared without responding. After waiting a week, we asked for an update and were told that the landlord had in the meantime been introduced to another candidate, who was ultimately selected. Given the fact that we were not rejected because we were considered unsuitable candidates, and that we did not even get the chance to be introduced to the landlord as promised, while this was the case with other candidates, and there was also no mention of a better candidate or a higher bid, I will file a complaint due to their discriminatory behavior.
