I worked with Fred in the purchase of an apartment in Amsterdam. Fred was very professional throughout the process of finding an apartment. Fred is very experienced and knows every neighborhood in Amsterdam inside out. He did thorough research on each property before making an offer, so that the price was fair and we didn't pay too much. Fred helped us a lot by negotiating multiple times over the price, taking into account all the limitations we had at each step of the negotiations. He even discovered some contradictions on the seller's side in the documents of the apartment we bought. I can wholeheartedly recommend him!

What a terrible experience we had with Fred and his son who rented us our apartment. Truly one of the worst and most unprofessional real estate agents in the world, let alone in the Netherlands. He even tried to threaten my family for extra money. If you look at all the good reviews, they are clearly fake and come from him or his family. The mountains of bad experiences speak volumes. Do not do business with this company.

We chose Fred and his team to manage our apartment after we had hesitated to sell or rent it out. We paid one month's rent to Fred Koot Makelaardij in exchange for their services in finding a tenant and managing the property. Fred handed over the keys 10 days before the start of the contract to the tenant. We complained, and then he terminated our agreement. And now the tenant is not paying her rent. Do not trust them with your property.
