Hello, I have had a negative experience with Amsterdam-West Hoekstra and van Eck. I bought an apartment, where they were the real estate agent for the seller. Unfortunately, they did not hand over all the keys to the apartment to me (buyer) on time, despite the documents being signed at the notary in Amsterdam. When I realized that the key to the storage door was missing, I contacted the Real Estate Agent, but he said he didn't have the key. After a while, they start ignoring my messages and no longer respond by phone. I DO NOT recommend working with them, if you want a good purchase and minimal problems. It is one of the first responsibilities of the Selling Real Estate Agent to ensure that they have the keys to the apartment that they are selling.

Real estate agent Bob van Rijn was generally very available and could excellently inform me about a wide range of aspects. His advice ranged from legal interpretations to structural condition to possible living comfort. In addition, he researched the relevant municipal policy where necessary and knows many local advisors and experts to recommend.

Initially, the contact went well, and the start of sales proceeded smoothly. Photos, text, price - everything was neatly arranged. However, the service declined when the sales didn't go super fast. We had to actively approach the real estate agent repeatedly to ask about follow-up plans. He did not relieve us of burdens for a large part of the sales process, which is what you do expect from a real estate agent. We found this very unfortunate, because otherwise things were good and neat.

On the question of what that selling price was based on, he knew how to substantiate it in detail. The house was ultimately sold for a market-conform price, exactly as estimated. Our house was worth that price and the buying party saw that clearly. A Win-Win situation. Due to his enormous network, there were already interested parties directly and viewings took place in a short time. What was experienced as very pleasant was your own website for your house. All documentation could be found there and it was communicated clearly which steps had to be taken. You could reread a report of a viewing at your leisure. After each viewing we were, however, immediately called back for a brief report and discussed what the next steps should be. The accessibility also deserves praise. Contact was great, the initial contact person went on maternity leave and was properly handed over to a colleague, whom I also spoke with by phone. At one point, there was no movement in the sale, so I proactively contacted them and lowered the price by 50,000 euros, which wasn't wise in retrospect. The house is now sold, we are happy about that. Should have had an interim evaluation. Now too late.
