Shocking service. Terrible communication.

Lars Pennings is very reliable, and pleasant to work with. I have been working with Interhouse for a number of years. And what strikes me is that they represent both the tenant and landlord professionally. Absolutely a recommendation!

Not good. Only looking for a quick refund. The landlord had left no towels or bed linen upon check-in and the agent didn't care. The landlord only returned part of the deposit and kept the rest illegally. The agent did nothing. I do not recommend this landlord.

For 14 years I have been renting out my apartment in Amsterdam to expats via Interhouse, and always had contact with Lars. Very reliable, professional, friendly and fast. I recommend Interhouse if you want to rent out your house/apartment.

As a tenant, we enjoyed our experience with Interhouse when we moved to our new apartment in Amsterdam. There were many options on their website, booking a viewing was easy and the real estate agent Lars was communicative and empathetic. Going through, signing and coordinating the contract and the move also went smoothly. With great help from Marjolijn and the rest of the team.

All in all a great experience. There were some technical problems, but within about two weeks I was able to find and move into an apartment with Interhouse. They were very efficient and direct, and gave good recommendations for setting up utilities. A 10/10, I would recommend.

They come with false costs when you check out of a rented apartment and they don't refund your deposit. Their license should be revoked.

Watch out people, this real estate office is a scam! Don't even read their answer because they don't even have a realtor. I first said that I was interested in an apartment that was offered on their website. I sent them an email saying that I was interested, but they accepted me immediately, despite the fact that I only showed interest and they asked for 350 euros! When I answered that I accepted, I didn't say that I accepted, but that I wanted to view the apartment first, which is normal. They said that we would move on to other candidates! Avoid them at all costs, they are the biggest scammers and losers in the world! If I could give zero stars, I would even give -1!

Reliable, professional and friendly real estate agent. We are former expats and have engaged Interhouse to find and screen tenants for our apartment in Amsterdam. From the beginning, we were impressed by Lars and his team. They were always helpful, responsive and efficient in their communication (straight to the point, and so different from other, shady real estate agents we came across). Lars helped us navigate the complex rental system in the Netherlands and find the best structure for our situation. He always found good tenants at a good price, without any delays. I also feel that they went above and beyond to answer our questions and provide advice. 5/5, would recommend!

These guests are scammers. Stay away!

Scammers! They rented me an apartment without even checking anything! Of course the heating doesn't work in half December and they do nothing about it! No response! No response! And no repairs! The windows are broken! The fire alarm goes off as soon as you turn on the oven! Just a complete scam!

I recently planned a viewing, had a great contact with Marjolijn and Lars and just wanted to show my appreciation! The rental market in Amsterdam is currently hectic and many real estate agents are under pressure, on edge and are frankly not very nice. It was great to meet Marjolijn and Lars. They both responded quickly, were friendly and helpful. Thank you very much!

The only advice I can give you is that they will not help you with collecting your deposit. They will only try to rip you off. They will only smile at you when signing the contract, after that you are in fact their enemy. If you already have a contract with them, take as many photos as possible of how you found the house. And good luck! NB: Stay away from this rude, unprofessional company.

Scheduling a viewing in order to then cancel an hour beforehand because the apartment is already rented out. Quite a strange way of doing things.

Be careful if you're an expat renting here. This is the lowest level of professionalism I've ever seen. All they want is to quickly collect some money and then run away. They don't help you if you have a problem and 'cleverly' avoid all responsibilities in the contract. They don't see any added value they create at all. If they think exploiting expats is the right way of doing business, good luck with that.

Be careful if you are a tenant.

I felt that my interests as a tenant were absolutely neglected, while the owner's interests were indeed taken care of. The biggest problem was, among other things, the handling of a full renovation above our heads, which lasted 7 months starting from the beginning of our 9-month contract with a notice period of 9 months. The way our complaints were constantly not taken seriously made us feel powerless and forced us to live every day with dirt and noise, limiting our living quality to a minimum and causing unnecessary stress that negatively affected our lives. The communication was smooth, but the decisions were always made in their own interest or that of the landlord, without really making an effort to ensure that we had a good experience in our temporary accommodation.

Very bad experience with them!!! If you rent from them and you have a problem with your accommodation they try to make you solve it yourself. Like for example leakage in the toilet from the upper drainage pipe. They want you to go to the neighbors yourself to solve it with them. When leaving the accommodation. They steal your deposit by thoroughly checking the property. If a lamp doesn't work. They charge you 5 euros plus 30 euros labor. Even the final inspection and handing over the keys they charge for 2 hours rate of 2 people and all this to not pay your deposit and they don't give you the possibility to return the accommodation as they want. In short! Don't go in the sea with them. Rather sleep on the street than rent through them! They are scammers!!! And very EXPENSIVE!

Our moving company has engaged Interhouse. We found them very knowledgeable, responsive and professional. Lars represented us during another move and saved us a lot of money in a dispute. They have your best interests at heart. I would definitely engage them again.

So far I am satisfied with the service of Interhouse. Houdijn is clear about the details of the apartment and the costs. The communication is good.

Normally I don't like to write reviews. But because I was so satisfied with the smooth and problem-free move to Amsterdam via Interhouse, I decided to write one. Very professional staff - from the timely arrival to the quick answering of questions, handling the check-in and ensuring transparency about costs and details. Anique van den Elskamp (the real estate agent's advisor) and Robert Blok deserve special mention, as they made sure my interaction with Interhouse was professional, thorough and transparent, combined with a friendly and courteous attitude. Disappointing experience - they have misinformed me about my rights as a tenant in Amsterdam to plead the landlord's case, until I myself found the correct information from government agencies

We have worked with Interhouse twice to find an apartment in Amsterdam. I was very satisfied with their service both times. They are very professional and respond quickly. They were excellent in handling all the paperwork and I relied on their advice. Also when we checked out of our first apartment, they were very helpful. I would definitely use them again.

I saw below a number of very negative reactions and I can't imagine that these are real customer reviews. Just call them or drop by and discover it yourself.

Don't even think about entering into an agreement with this company. If you have a problem with the housing, they will refuse to help and blame you, even if there are children involved. Their so-called 'property management' means that they do nothing and argue via email. They will exploit expats and laugh at you. If you are reading this and already have an agreement with them, don't give them back the keys until they pay you what you are owed.
