Remi helped us fantastic during the entire purchase; everything went smoothly from start to finish. The price was correct for a professional service.

Rented from them for a few years. If you have to pay, they're there like the chickens. If you need maintenance yourself (like a leak in the bedroom for 6 years, which falls under their responsibility) you can wait a long time. False promises about calling back, it's never actually done. A few times they come to look but as a result I don't get any feedback or anything is actually done. Have been waiting for several years but when they themselves have to make costs, you don't hear anything or very little. Have to call myself for clarification but that is not given either.

Do not trust this real estate agent. Three years ago, they advised me to buy a house in Zaandam. I specifically asked if the house had an inheritance tax, and they acted as if that was 'not important'. This was misleading. Now many neighbors are trying to sell their houses, because the city of Zaandam will ask for a large amount in 10 years for the inheritance tax. Their advice has led to a serious financial risk for homeowners. Be very careful before you follow their advice.

Bizarrely bad landlord. These people cling to the absolute legal minimum and would rather do even less. They don't keep their agreements and they don't care at all about the safety or living comfort of the tenants. For example, if you don't have hot water or your apartment is 32 degrees they just laugh at you.

Not only one of the worst landlords I've ever rented from, but also around one of the worst companies I've ever had to deal with. Complaints are not taken seriously, reports of deficiencies and dangerous situations remain open for months without a response. There is 0 communication, 0 problems are solved. VDL makes promises and agreements all the time, but never follows through. It's simply a waste of the buildings they manage. Especially in Holland Park, real quality has been set, and the apartments have become beautiful, but the value of this will drop very quickly due to VDL's mismanagement. If you see that VDL manages the property where you want to rent: run fast away and look for something else.

Unprofessional and unreliable. We have been on hold for almost a month during negotiations when suddenly these agents completely ignored us in the middle of the negotiations. Bas Reimink, commercial director of this agency, is the type who doesn't pick up, doesn't call back, doesn't email back, but says he will do so - and worse still, he then lies about having done so. There are a hundred other agents in Amsterdam - do yourself a favor, avoid this company and choose one of the others.

Placing false information on a Funda advertisement, and despite repeated warnings, allowing it to remain for weeks until the sale is complete. That is deception and forgery, provided by Makelaardij Van der Linden.

Having an emergency number in case of need where subsequently no one answers. Getting stuck behind a speed gate that doesn't open with a pregnant woman on the way to the hospital is not fun. Depending on the service of a company like van der Linden at that moment is even less enjoyable.

Nice staff, but my experience with scheduling viewings was really bad! They almost don't respond to emails, you call 10 times throughout the day (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM), but can't reach the real estate agent. I was also never called back!
