My personal experience with Melvin Huiskamp from the Avenue Group has been very disappointing for me. He presented himself to me as a real estate agent and introduced me to contractor Ruud van Grol, whom he described as reliable and with whom he shared an office. Based on this trust, I purchased my home and paid a significant amount in advance to this contractor. In my case, there was hardly any work carried out and goods for which I had paid were not delivered. Later, I found out that Ruud van Grol was previously involved in the bankruptcy of Bouwstabiel B.V. in 2022 and that his later company Rocksolid B.V. has also been declared bankrupt. As a result, the work remained unfinished and in this situation, according to public information, multiple customers have been affected. Personally, the financial impact was significant for me. Despite my experiences and signals I received from others with similar situations, I did not experience a feeling of involvement or responsibility from Melvin Huiskamp or the Avenue Group. In my opinion, a real estate agent should be expected to carefully recommend collaboration partners. Furthermore, I was unable to find any confirmation myself that Melvin Huiskamp has recognized real estate agent documents or is affiliated with an official professional organization, which raised questions for me. I share this experience so that others can make their own judgment.

I had a fantastic experience renting an apartment through Avenue for a year. Everything went smoothly and problem-free, from the viewings and paperwork to the move, daily communication, and the final handover.
