Contacted multiple times by phone and sent an email to make an appointment for a viewing. Each time I was told that I would be called back, but unfortunately never heard anything. Poor service!

Update: Real estate agent sentenced to repay deposit, statutory interest and all legal costs (double what he would have paid if he had transferred the deposit properly). In addition, he must also transfer €2600 in service charges that I overpaid. (Also an official ruling from the rental committee) This provides some extra context to the realtor's hypocritical reaction to this review. See photos for a response to the realtor’s reply to this review. Very bad experiences with this real estate agent. Agreed on a rent of €880 for 45 m2, it was initially supposed to be €800 but another potential tenant apparently offered €880 spontaneously. I could get the apartment if I put down the same amount because I had the 'favorite factor'. In my enthusiasm, I said yes, which turned out to be a terrible choice afterwards. After a few months, I asked if I could end the contract earlier due to nuisance, which was not possible (which is fine in itself but this fact is relevant later, as I had to rent for at least one year). Then I was approached by Bumarang bv from Groningen, they apparently represent tenants who are paying too much according to their calculations and can initiate proceedings with the rental committee. Somewhat hesitant, I started this process because I was clearly paying far too much. They contacted Schreinemachers to announce that they were going to start a case at the rental committee; I received an email from Schreinemache about an hour later asking if I wanted to end the contract immediately (which wasn’t actually possible :)) because they didn't want legal proceedings. Of course, I did not agree with this. Long story short, I paid €800 in base rent plus €80 in service charges. After a visit from the committee, which measured everything in the apartment, the base rent turned out to be +/- €440. Quite a difference, and then there were still €80 in service charges for heating and €200 in service charges for water. These service charges can subsequently be reclaimed if it turns out that I, as a tenant, have not completely consumed these costs. The next unusual point was the rent increase that Schreinem tried to implement; after intervention from Bumarang, this increase proved to be unfounded and just a random amount. Bumarang clearly instructed Schreinemachers how much he was allowed to increase, and then Schreinemachers dutifully adopted it. The latest, so far, scam action by Schreinemachers is the non-repayment of €880 deposit after the final inspection which has already taken place (I have since moved out). Mr. Schreinemache had a document with him regarding the final inspection; there were no defects and we both signed it. Because I knew things wouldn’t end easily, I clearly asked Schreinemachers when I could expect the deposit. 'This week or next week.' That was until I received an email from Schreinemachers the next day containing a ‘final settlement’, asking me to agree to €950 (deposit plus overpaid service charges) and that would settle everything. Of course, I said no because, as explained earlier, I can expect to reclaim far more service charges than those paltry +/- €80. Besides, the deposit is separate from this; I should definitely receive it since we both signed the document and he also made a verbal commitment. There’s no reason to think that I owe him any costs for 2023 given that I already had to get back €80 for 2022. After I sent 'no' as an answer, Schreinemachers apparently felt his ego was wounded; suddenly, Mr. didn’t want to transfer the deposit anymore while he wanted to settle it himself about three hours earlier via email. After some back-and-forth emails (also from Bumarang, who stated that Schreinemachers was very unprofessional), Schreinemachers would like to proceed with a debt collection process which will be started as soon as he doesn’t pay within the intended timeframe.

Yesterday we had a viewing. So well helped and so honest! The ladies in question knew what they were talking about, you don't see that often anymore! Poels can definitely put our house up for sale! Really great!

However good the name may be in the region, so dark are the promises. Be sure that I will never sell my house through them. At least if you attach a little value to the neighborhood and contacts where you have lived for years. “They” don’t care, as long as the money is quickly received. How her colleagues are, I cannot assess. But if you ask as a customer not to sell the house to landlords etc., you get the guarantee that this would “never” happen because the customer is king and then it is done behind your back in a sneaky way. And where until signing with the Notary (Notary) a little lie is presented to the selling party. Where there is now demonstrable proof of. Then you are not worthy of your profession. Mrs. Natalia has no interest in the client, she doesn't answer the phone, you must be desperate to dedicate your case and time to her, I do not recommend it, there are many better agencies and the language barrier is not a problem, it’s not the same Martens. Edit because I can't answer: aggressive hahah amazing. Irritated or aggressive are indeed two totally different behaviors. You probably don’t know yourself and you have never met an aggressive person, or you don’t know the meaning of this concept, and you are an excellent psychologist. Do you not comment on the rest? I see that you have an answer to everything, it's a shame it is not substantive. I can't remember him slamming the door in my face. And I said 'he always has that look on his face' and the lady concluded that he was irritated or aggressive. Yes, after a few weeks, because you don’t want to get this opinion right away after the conversation. This opinion is not written by a 'frustrated' (how is he?) man, but by a completely unfustrated woman who just wanted to share the situation so her countrymen could verify it themselves :) The situation that happened to me at Martens real estate agency is pathetic, totally unprofessional and incompetent. It doesn’t even deserve one star. A few words of introduction: Ms. Nathalie - during the first meeting we kissed the doorknob because the lady had written down the date incorrectly (I had to leave work an hour earlier, so I was immediately behind), but that is of course awkward, so situations happen, so I’ll skip it. When the meeting took place, there were a few strangers in the room (they came in right after us), in an open space where the lady gave us loud confidential information, such as the amount of loan I could afford. No compliance with privacy rules. We did not receive reliable answers or fundamental (!!) information (of course, most of it I can check myself, but assuming that someone has no knowledge at all, it plays on ignorance). After literally 5 minutes, Ms. Nathalie looks at her husband and says *pay attention*: HE IS IRRITATED. It must be emphasized that he did nothing, he said nothing that could be used to confirm something like that, he asked normal questions. She started to get angry and said she didn't want to continue the meetings with us (interrupting what I was saying to her), all in the presence of these people, of course. Embarrassing behavior and manners at the highest level, because she got up from the chair and went to wash her hands, making it clear that she was no longer interested in us. A man who wants to encourage me to use his services doesn’t behave like that? Seriously, no professionalism. The lady said she had been doing it for so many years and 'had never seen anything like it' (I still don’t really know what xD) - I can say that I have been using the services of professionals for years, but nobody has ever treated me like this (although in my opinion you are far from professional). I advise going directly to a Dutch or another foreign office that offers such services, because from what I have heard, my opinion is not the only one. I wish Ms. Nathalie much humility, because one day she might really be surprised. Through this lady I wouldn’t even want to buy a bicycle. Thanks and kind regards.
