My girlfriend and I bought our first house this week and were assisted in the entire process by Woongoed, mainly by Eugene, he was always available and knew an answer to every question. The mortgage was arranged in no time and we could pack our things. Immensely thanks for this. In addition, the insurances were also handled here, where Pim assisted. Completely well arranged! Some time ago, we bought a house through Eugene at WoonGoed. Eugene came across as polite and friendly during the viewing and was, as I also saw in other reviews, easily accessible. However, I noticed during the viewing that he answered several substantive questions about the property incorrectly. For example, I asked if there was a crawl space, to which the answer was no. A few moments later, I found a crawl hatch and crawl space under the entire house. And this is a standard terraced house. We also saw damp spots in the attic, which indicated a leak. However, they felt dry at that moment. After inquiry, this was not actively classified as ‘drift snow from years ago’. After the purchase, the leak turned out to be active and during a heavy downpour even came into the meter cupboard. The cause of this was an incorrectly placed guttering from the skylight. However, when we pointed this out, Eugene was ‘not available’ and did not cooperate, giving reasons that seemed nonsense to us and people around us. Because we were renovating and had enough worries, I fixed the leak myself instead of taking legal action to resolve this hidden defect through the proper channels. So buyers in the future, be careful. Eugene lacks sufficient technical basic knowledge that a real estate agent should have, and after purchase, hidden defects such as a leak cannot be mediated without legal assistance in our case.
