An existing damp spot was even wrongly attributed to the neighbor. While renovating and painting the house, we discovered significant deferred maintenance and hidden defects. Recently, we sold our house through Olsthoorn Real Estate Agency. The sale of our house took a very long time. The house was put on the market just before the housing market cooled down due to higher interest rates. We had expected that the sale would be more difficult, but we had hoped that the real estate agent would handle this well. Also because we were repeatedly told that the property would have many advantages, with the ample amount of solar panels, good insulation and that it was a relatively newly built house. Unfortunately, we did not experience this as such. Apart from the fact that several mistakes were made, such as not promoting the house at Open House Day, we missed that sufficient attention was paid to a changing housing market. For example, we ourselves contacted the real estate agent after it appeared in the media that house prices were falling, after which it seemed like a good idea for the real estate agent to lower the asking price. At the time we accepted the advice price, prices were already falling further. This gave us the feeling that we were constantly playing catch-up. Ultimately, the property was sold for 40,000 euros less than the amount the real estate agent had initially expected, with a duration of one year!! We also experienced that communication within the company does not run smoothly. There have been times when a viewing was scheduled, someone agreed to it, without informing us about it. Conversely, this also happened: the viewing was rescheduled to another day, that day was clicked on by an employee, without informing us. So we called after an hour to see if the viewing had already ended and whether we could re-enter the house, while there was no viewing at all. We also indicated at one point that we no longer wanted viewings spread throughout the week, but on a preferred day. Then we still repeatedly received the question whether a viewing had been scheduled on another day and whether this was okay, which meant that the viewing had to be rescheduled and sometimes even did not take place. We have also regularly heard an hour before that a viewing would not take place, but we had arranged everything with our employers to ensure that the house was ready for a viewing. There are many more examples I could give. This makes us feel that we did not enjoy the experience with Olsthoorn Real Estate Agency and therefore would not recommend it.

We are very dissatisfied with our experience with this real estate agent. We had to arrange a lot ourselves. We frequently had to take the initiative regarding contact. This real estate agent dropped the ball quite a bit. Even heard from the notary and another real estate agent that things did not go as they should have. Our wishes were not listened to.
