We were able to schedule an initial meeting quite quickly, and despite being very nervous because it would be our first home purchase, we were exceptionally well taken care of by the two ladies and left feeling good. It was immediately clear that the ladies have a lot of expertise and are very professional. This primarily came across during the viewings, for which Britt arranged the planning and where Agnes was personally present. Agnes looks at the smallest details with a critical eye and almost intuitively knows what is suitable or not for her clients. We had this great team on our side when we were going to sell our house. Everything is arranged by them from start to finish. They keep you informed about everything through the app. No question is too much. Are you looking for a selling broker who completely relieves you with their team, then Avenue 't Gooi is really something for you. Really recommend this team, they are worth their weight in gold!

My husband and I had a viewing with one of the agents who, unfortunately, treated us very poorly. From the moment we walked into the house, his attitude towards us was, to put it mildly, not hospitable. And that's because we had no choice but to bring our children to the viewing, as we couldn’t find anyone to babysit them. The agent made remarks about our children (which was the reason he didn’t want to have children himself) and gave us and our children commands like: 'don't touch this, it's very expensive!', 'don't wait here!'. Some of the commands were already given before we even entered the room. At one point, the agent shouted: “bring the kids downstairs!”. I thought at the time that I had misunderstood him, so I just ignored his remark. Ten minutes after the viewing, my two-year-old daughter wanted to sit on the bench next to the bed and the agent yelled at her: 'Get out of bed!!!'. A +30-year-old man, a complete stranger, yelling at a two-year-old, I’m just amazed at how an adult can behave like that. There is no excuse you can use to explain how the agent is unable to deal with his problems which he clearly had when our children were present at the viewing, towards us, also adults. But instead, he chose to yell at our child and continued his behavior towards me after my husband let him know that we would be ending the viewing due to the unprofessional attitude of the agent. The tone was rude and the words he used were simply unacceptable. We have had other viewings in the past where we also had to bring our children, and all agents were more than hospitable and understanding of the situation (believe it or not, such a situation is also stressful for a parent!). So what happened next, my husband took the children out of the house and wanted to go back to talk to the agent about what had just happened. But the agent didn’t want to talk to us because he locked himself in the building and no longer opened the door. We witnessed this sad situation because we brought our own realtor to the viewing. If you are considering Avenue ‘t Gooi Makelaars as your selling broker, I strongly advise you to reconsider. We were seriously planning to make an offer on the house yesterday, but after having such a unpleasant experience, of course we won’t do that now. We had another house to view soon, also offered by Avenue ’t Gooi Makelaars, but we have decided that we don’t want to see it, because we don’t want to risk being treated badly again. I understand that it may have been difficult for the agent to deal with the situation, since the children were very busy, but my husband and I tried everything to minimize disrupting the situation. There are many other ways the agent could have handled the situation, but unfortunately he chose to be disrespectful and very mean and make hurtful remarks about and towards our children and towards me and my husband. We reported this incident to the owner of the agency, who did not seem to understand the problem and instead blamed our children for being busy. We did not receive an apology. Therefore, I decided to leave the review.

Our experience with serious interest in a property for purchase has unfortunately been negative. There was insufficient transparency regarding the time the property was listed for sale. A scheduled viewing (+/- two weeks after telephone contact) was cancelled one day prior because an offer had been made which the seller accepted. Not communicating this is, in our opinion, improper.

Viewed a property twice with this real estate agent. Doesn't have things in order. Forgets that we have an appointment scheduled, forgets the house keys during a viewing and calls us after some time to ask what we thought of a property that was withdrawn from sale after we placed a bid. Definitely not recommended!
