At first she was helpful, but once the contract was signed, it became clear that she was there to help the owners. We decided to keep the deposit to prevent being scammed. Because we didn't trust her or the owners. In the end, we were right. It became a lawsuit where we had to pay for various small damages in the house. We were scammed quite a bit. We had to hire lawyers. We were asked to carry out various repairs, which we did, but we still had to pay for repainting doors, replacing doors, etc... Poor communication. I advise against her. There are many better real estate agents in Maastricht.

After sending a few e-mails about various rental properties that 'het hoofse huis' offers for rent, I still have not received a reply from the real estate agent. I visited their website to contact the real estate agent directly in order to better explain my problem. No response either. The property at Spoorweglaan 14 is not for rent. Save your time and effort. Landlord Rekko does not (pun not intended).

We zochten online naar een huurappartement en maakten de eerste dag dat we in Maastricht aankwamen een afspraak bij Het Hoofse Huis. Cecile regelde alles en ze was erg professioneel en vriendelijk. We hebben twee appartementen bezichtigd en één ervan voldeed volledig aan onze wensen. Het hele proces verliep soepel en prettig en het personeel was erg behulpzaam en reageerde snel op al onze vragen. Ze reageerden altijd snel op al onze vragen. Ook het inchecken verliep erg goed en Cecile was wederom zeer professioneel en efficiënt. Ze hebben onze verhuizing naar Maastricht absoluut een stuk makkelijker gemaakt en we zouden hen zeker aan iedereen aanbevelen die een huurwoning zoekt.

I moved to Maastricht from another country. Throughout the entire process, Het Hoofse Huis acted efficiently, effectively and always on time. The staff was extremely professional and we could carry out the entire process in English, including English versions of the relevant documentation. They could arrange viewings at times that suited me and made sure I got what I was looking for. They also offered extra services (arranging the electricity connection, internet, etc.) at a reasonable fee; things that you might find difficult to do yourself if you have just arrived. My personal experience with this company makes me wholeheartedly recommend them, especially to people coming from abroad.

Be warned about this company! The company was recommended to us by our real estate agent and we rented a house in the center for almost 2 years. We are not often at home due to our careers. After we left, we were treated like a couple of students who had completely 'ruined' an Airbnb in a week. When I pointed out to Hoofse Huis that I did not find their tone sympathetic, Margot told me she works for the landlord and it doesn't matter to her if a tenant finds her nice. We are very disappointed in this company, we have paid more than € 35.000 rent in almost 2 years and were treated very disrespectfully. Moreover, we only got back part of the deposit without them having provided an invoice for the alleged cleaning services.

Because we sold our house in Belgium, we were looking for a property in the Netherlands. Emailed that apparently did not arrive ??? and after a phone conversation, it was promised to call back to us the next day regarding the information we asked for, which did not happen. We are now a number of days further and we have thanked you for the service. I have dealt with better real estate agents and I'm glad that this company does not need to rent my house, because they just drive away potential customers, as they have no more trust. I read that we are not the only ones who have complaints about this company. You don't get a second chance for a first impression.

Finding a home with this mediation agency was the first and biggest mistake I made in Maastricht. The staff is quite rude and seems reluctant to help. The staff also told my housemate and me that they would handle the bills and make sure we had the cheapest option. After I moved, I checked several providers for my new home and discovered that the staff of Het Hoofse Huis had chosen one of the most expensive ones! I was still paying bills a whole year after my move. The staff also knew that sometimes electric water would flow through the water in the bathroom! Electric water! Just the fact that they said nothing about it shows that they really don't care. They even asked for a deposit double the rent, which according to another mediation agency is actually illegal. I still haven't gotten my deposit back and probably never will. I advise no one to use this mediation agency, but especially the apartment at Wilhelminasingel 73 D I advise no one to use. I regret having lived there and I'm sure everyone else will too.

I can, 100% sincerely, say that Het Hoofse Huis is the first and perhaps also the only real estate agency in Maastricht where I have experienced such an incredibly helpfulness and friendliness. Extremely disrespectful personal and terrible treatment of customers, often very unprofessional: unbelievable.
