Avoid them at all costs unless you want to lose time, money and a part of your well-being. TLDR: They were incredibly careless, unresponsive, and delivered work of very low quality compared to the price. We lost months because of them and still had to pay for poorly done work. And we started working with an actually capable broker, and the house was sold within a week. Yes, there was a price difference with the second offer, but it's all about the conversation and expectations. And Aldem couldn’t care less. Here is a list of problems that we had with them - It takes multiple days for them to respond to even the simplest requests - They do nothing unless you specifically ask them, and sometimes multiple times - For example, they didn't put up a 'for sale' sign, although we had asked for it, and they claim we never wanted it. - They did not follow our process, provide any updates or give any advice. They claim that if no one calls, there’s nothing to talk about. We tried to explain that it is even more important to have an update so we can discuss our options. Because clearly something is wrong with the presentation of the price list if no one calls. - They didn't let us know when our house was on Funda. We also had to remind them multiple times, and when they did, we only found out by chance. - An external company did a great photoshoot (although we can’t use it now). And while we were listing our apartment on Funda, they randomly uploaded photos. Can you imagine a photo of an elevator being on the top photos of the ad, along with the outside entrance? You can see the image - We didn't even have a contract and they effectively threatened to not remove the listing from Funda unless we pay them. We suggested paying partially, the actual value of the work they did, not what they claimed. And they used the listing on Funda as leverage and told us that they will not remove the listing unless we paid the full amount. It’s partly our fault for ignoring the warning signs and not signing a contract. But it is what it is. So only if you know how to sell a house, and only if you can specifically tell them what to do, can you work with them. But in that case, I advise you to open your own real estate agency.
