Prettige ervaring met Covers met het verhuren van ons huis in Utrecht toen we een jaar in het buitenland gingen wonen. Erg flexibel, we konden onze eigen huurders aandragen. Alle administratieve handelingen verliepen erg soepel, we hadden er weinig werk en alles ging volgens afspraak. Aanrader!

Meta van Covers Wonen heeft ons super goed geholpen! We waren met spoed op zoek naar een aankoopmakelaar en we konden dezelfde dag nog bij haar terecht. Binnen een week hadden we dankzij Meta een huis gekocht. Ik zou Covers Wonen zeker aanbevelen.

Als stel dat onlangs naar Nederland is verhuisd, waren zowel de huizenmarkt als de technische aspecten van de huizen voor ons volkomen onbekend terrein. Meta heeft ons bij elke stap ondersteund en ervoor gezorgd dat we een huis vonden dat perfect aan onze verwachtingen voldeed. Het kopen van een huis is nooit makkelijk, maar met Meta verloopt het proces soepel.

We had a remarkably negative experience with Kristianne Slagmolen. The conduct was consistently unprofessional and rude: appointments were not kept and our phone calls and messages were repeatedly ignored. This behavior created a very negative impression and clearly showed that we should not go into business with this real estate agent. Fortunately, we were then helped by another real estate agent in the area, who demonstrated a much more professional and reliable approach.

We have rented an apartment from them for almost six years, so I think we can say better than most people how this 'office' actually stands. They pulled the same scam with heating costs as mentioned in at least one review above - literally told on the phone that heating is included in the rent. It was written in big letters in the inspection document that heating is included in the rent, but they had one complicated word hidden in the contract that meant it was NOT included. It then literally took me weeks or months to get more details and just proof of those (exorbitant) heating costs, every time again. Reporting problems usually took forever before they responded or did anything, like a flooded kitchen at some point (due to absolutely terrible pipes). If the landlord had a random whim, they immediately demanded a response, but if we needed something from the landlord or wanted to have something arranged or repaired, they always avoided their responsibility (and gave us at most a contact person to handle it ourselves). Everything that was broken or poorly installed (that is, probably half of everything in the supposedly recently renovated apartment) they would do everything to make us blame it - and the repair costs - unless we had enough proof to clearly show that it was not our fault. And surprise, despite me leaving the apartment in excellent condition (after again, almost six years), it took two months of my persistent and annoying behavior before I got our deposit back (with excuses like 'the landlord is on vacation', yes, it's 2025 and you would think mobile internet exists). They still found an excuse to deduct a part of it - the blinds we had reported as broken and poorly installed countless times. Then they just stopped responding. If you ever have the misfortune to come into contact with them, demand that EVERYTHING is in writing, even before you sign the contract, even if they initially seem friendly. Preferably have a Dutch lawyer look it over and never let yourself be lured into phone calls (the favorite tactic of Dutch companies, by the way - most of them hate for some reason to leave a paper trail :).

Excellent guidance and well known in Utrecht and surrounding areas. Short lines and personal. That's what you want when you buy or sell something.

They had decent tenants and whenever something was wrong it was resolved immediately. Fine and quick communication! In the sale and purchase of my new home, I can only say sublime!!!! Meta supported me enormously throughout this entire process because there were quite a few setbacks privately, but she stood by me day and night (weekends), and in addition to being extremely professional, she was also very involved. How grateful I am that there are still such kind people who are so involved. Top company that guides you well from beginning to end, thinks along with you, reassures you and takes away your worries. For me, Covers and especially Meta get a solid 10!!!!

Onlangs stonden we voor de uitdaging om snel een appartement voor onze dochter in het centrum van Utrecht te kopen. Omdat we in het buitenland wonen en geen lokale contacten hebben, was de taak om de markt te begrijpen, een geschikte woning te vinden en het biedingsproces en de afronding efficiënt en kosteneffectief af te handelen in een oververhitte markt. Het vinden van Covers Wonen was een enorme meevaller. Vanaf het begin namen ze de tijd om onze wensen grondig te begrijpen, gaven ze waardevolle begeleiding bij het Nederlandse aankoopproces en deelden ze inzichtelijke updates over de markt, de locaties in Utrecht en de valkuilen en kosten die we moesten vermijden. Toen het op de zoektocht aankwam, liet onze makelaar Meta ons snel een aantal goed geselecteerde en realistische woningen zien, waardoor we onze zoektocht snel konden verfijnen. Dit leidde binnen enkele dagen tot een geweldige woning. Meta's ervaring en contacten met veel verkopende makelaars, gecombineerd met haar scherpe kennis van de biedingstactieken, zorgden ervoor dat we bij ons eerste bod succesvol waren, en dat allemaal binnen 10 dagen na de start van het proces. Geweldig! De vaste kosten van Covers Wonen waren eerlijk en gezien de service en het resultaat zeker redelijk en de moeite waard. Two years ago I rented my previous apartment through Covers Wonen, but the experience recently ended rather sourly. When the landlord decided to sell the property, I did everything possible to meet all their requirements – including removing or hiding my belongings while still living there – but when I asked for help, the agency offered little to no support in finding a new home. This was an incredibly stressful experience and I felt abandoned at a time when I needed their help the most. I cannot recommend this agency to anyone who values reliability and tenant support.

I am quite disappointed in Covers. The service is very bad, the communication is poor and slow. Even the simplest things take forever. Avoid it if you can.

Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with this company. My landlord hired them, so I had to work with them. They did the final inspection of the apartment and withheld money from my deposit without telling me anything about it, after their agent explicitly told me that everything was fine. When I asked why the money was withheld, they casually said 'poor cleaning,' but gave no further explanation, despite me asking multiple times. Furthermore, they claimed it was my landlord's decision to withhold the money, but my landlord showed me that they had already withheld the money before even receiving it back. They stopped responding to emails after I confronted them about it. Do yourself a favor and don't do business with this agency; I wouldn’t trust them.

In this market, many companies are trying to profit from the ever-increasing prices, and Covers Wonen is no exception. This isn't a problem, but the way they do it is by accommodating the landlord as much as possible, in order to convince them to use their services. Unfortunately, that means that at Covers Wonen there is an enormous amount of tenant-unfriendly clauses in the rental agreement, which are NOT market conform (compared to our current and previous rental contracts, as well as the rental contracts of colleagues and friends). We strongly advise against Covers Wonen, and if you still decide to go with them, please read all documents carefully before you end up being the loser. We have refrained from renting and are looking for an alternative real estate agent. Finally, our contact person was not competent in navigating the conversation about the contract (or simply didn't feel like it) and lied in the communication (even after demonstrable proof). 0 stars if possible. EDIT: I see that Covers Wonen doesn’t give up, given the reaction. Of course, I am referring to the rental agreement which indicates what changes are taking place according to the general terms and conditions. It's a shame to try and portray me as someone who has never rented before. The 1 star is earned.

A big feather for Meta. She is very helpful, empathetic and resourceful. Meta and her team are a fantastic group of professional brokers. She promised us in December that we would find a home in February-March, and she kept her word by helping us find our house in Zuilen at the beginning of March. A real recommendation for non-Dutch speakers who want to know everything about buying and renting a house or apartment.

During our rental period (lower apartment in Utrecht, rental period: October 2019 - October 2022) we experienced a lot of moisture and mold. (See attached photos). The landlord ultimately installed a simple bathroom extractor fan as a solution. However, this did not fix the problem. Due to the moisture problem, the mold also spread to the roller blinds (property of the renting party). We informed the renting party in a timely manner that the mold was spreading to the roller blinds. However, this still became an issue when terminating the rental agreement. Now, the cost of the roller blinds has been deducted from our deposit without any explanation. We find it unacceptable that Covers Wonen Makelaars has been ignoring us for weeks. Furthermore, we also find it unacceptable that the renting party has not contacted us either. We would like Covers Wonen Makelaars to contact us and ensure that the withheld portion of the deposit is still paid.

As a tenant, I find that they have provided an excellent service, from arranging the viewing after I responded to the advertisement, to maintaining contact during all steps. They even sent an English copy of the contract so I didn't have to translate it myself. They were always easily accessible and answered my questions quickly. I am very happy that I had them as a fixed point of contact in my search for a home in Amsterdam.

We rented our apartment through Covers & Jonker. The entire process went smoothly. They are very efficient and courteous. They answered our questions quickly and clearly. Thoin and Pam were very helpful.

Covers was responsible for the rental of our apartment for six years. Regarding finding tenants, they delivered excellent work. They always found tenants. Because we live abroad, they were responsible for property management, including checking whether all payments were made. Regarding property management, they offer poor value for money. They respond slowly to communication. Both owners and tenants experienced a lack of communication. This led to us not being informed about problems with our apartment. The check-in and check-out process went poorly; this led to conflicts between the tenants and us, which could have been prevented if there had been quick and adequate communication. Ultimately, we got into a conflict with our tenants, which we resolved. However, this could have been prevented if Covers had done a good job. We feel that they are after quick money, do not take responsibility, which results in poor customer experiences. Meanwhile, they avoid any possible responsibility and show no reflective ability.

Don't rent an apartment if this office is involved. They support landlord scams. Unprofessional communication. We never received reports, photos or evidence, not even when we repeatedly asked for them. After the scam took place, they just started ignoring us.

The viewings are a facade, the buying party is already in place at the time of publication, this club likes to keep you on a string.

Earlier this year, I was looking for a home in the Jordaan, Amsterdam. The viewing turned out to be a farce; the decision seemed to have been made beforehand. Arthur Covers does business in an unfair and untransparent manner; doesn't communicate with customers and openly belittles them. Unreliable firm.
