Friends of mine have been relying on Rob as a real estate agent for years. When I was looking for my first home a few years ago, I ended up with him that way. He helped me well at the time as a buyer's agent and I hope to be able to use his services again soon. Whenever I have a question or need advice, I call him because of his knowledge of the market, his experience and his large network. He doesn’t look at his watch and is always willing to have a good substantive conversation. I see some angry reactions here in other reviews, this is not my experience with Beekman, however. In general, I can imagine that people are frustrated by the current situation in the (rental) housing market; hopefully, this will receive more priority from The Hague soon.

The cooperation with Akash went smoothly and clearly from the beginning. I always knew where I was at and was well informed throughout the entire process. Also, there was a quick switch when needed. We are very happy with the housing and have had a positive experience throughout the process. Akash Dhuney from ADD Makelaardij managed our rent of € 3.800 per month, but since the move it was a disaster: the apartment was dirty and not properly prepared, which forced us to pay for cleaning (which, as agreed, was deducted from the rent), and there was furniture of poor quality, such as a missing desk/drawer, a sagging/stained mattress, a broken kitchen chair with peeling leather, a non-matching/damaged TV with noise, and an unhygienic, stained sofa. Communication broke down early on with rude accusations ('Do you not understand English?'), threats of the police due to a misunderstanding about a payment in good faith, and delays in signing the contract needed for BSN/IND registration, despite Akash claiming to be the intermediary between landlords and tenants. Due to ongoing neglect, urgent defects were ignored, such as a leaking shower (worn parts), a non-functional bathroom exhaust fan causing mold growth, an unregulated heating system, a leaking refrigerator, a broken washing machine (useless for days) and increasing mold in the shower – all issues that hinder livability in the dwelling. Dutch law requires that real estate agents/landlords remedy these immediately upon notification. Akash refused to fully cooperate after evasive answers, acted opaquely and was not trustworthy – non-Indian tenants risk being scammed through delays and failure to meet obligations, while he continues to collect fees. Avoid ADD Makelaardij; document everything and know your rights to enforce repairs or take legal action. 1/5 stars.

Ik kom uit de VS en ik heb deze mensen meer dan 60 dagen de tijd gegeven om de overdracht van het huis af te ronden, de papieren te laten tekenen en mij een kopie te sturen. Ik heb het gevoel dat het gewoon oplichting is. Ik vind dat ze het huis op 1 mei hadden moeten verlaten. Ik vond dat ze hun werk moesten doen. Ze hebben me niet verteld dat het huis in een scheidingszaak zat. Ze zijn gewoon waardeloos.

Eerste bezichtiging, eerste bod — ik kreeg de sleutels! Als expat in Nederland had ik ontzettend veel vragen over het kopen van een huis dat aan mijn wensen en budget zou voldoen. Ik had gehoord dat het biedingsproces en de huizenmarkt het kopen van een huis erg moeilijk maken — vooral in Amsterdam — dus ik was best nerveus. Toen ben ik met Rochella van RB gaan samenwerken. Ik had al twee appartementen in Amsterdam op het oog die ik wilde bezichtigen. Tijdens ons allereerste telefoongesprek besprak ze de aanbiedingen en legde ze duidelijk uit met welk appartement ik een realistische kans maakte. Ze bood zelfs aan om de volgende dag al mee te gaan naar de bezichtiging, wat voor mij indrukwekkend snel was. Limited service and interest, not following some opportunities well enough. Initial service was correct and also during the first viewings, but after that we missed enough follow up to viewers/potential buyers, low marketing and real interest in making a good deal for the sellers. Finally we needed to took over and the young people at the agency were more supportive.
