Everything went smoothly through consultation, adequate response to the market and pleasant collaboration. Knowledge and expertise are very good, so that everyone (sellers as well as buyers) know what they are dealing with.

The sale of our house went smoothly, but the mortgage brokerage proved disastrous. Poor and unprofessional advice, and the financial advice turned out to be incorrect. For example, they stated in black and white that the annuity-free mortgage was 100% deductible. This causes the overviews to be incorrect. To this day, we regret our new mortgage because the old one seemed much more favorable. Our new mortgage advisor calls it shoddy work. Atsma takes zero responsibility and refers to the real estate agent who is no longer with them. Unfortunately, not recommended.

Last year, we used the services of this company to buy a house. We wanted support from a real estate agent and also from a financial advisor for the mortgage. As far as the mortgage advice is concerned, everything went smoothly and was clear. After we had submitted all documents and filled out the same forms several times, the process was completed without any problems and we had no complaints. As for the services of the real estate agent, however, we are not at all satisfied. During our first meeting, we discussed a few things, especially the location/region/city, a specific energy label (A or B), and, very important, that the house would not be located under a flight path. The first options that the real estate agent showed us did not meet the energy labels (they were E, F and G). Then it remained quiet for a while until we found an apartment in Haarlem that did appeal to us. The real estate agent quickly arranged an appointment and we went to view it together. We saw the apartment, it suited us, it was located in the desired location, within our budget and had the correct energy label. We mentioned the flight path several times verbally and we also sent an e-mail asking for more information about that specific area (an e-mail that remained unanswered). When we were there, no airplanes were flying over, there was no noise - we were satisfied. The real estate agent made an offer on our behalf, as agreed, and we eventually signed the contract. Since we have been living there, we are living a nightmare because this neighborhood actually lies under a flight path. Although I acknowledge part of the responsibility for this situation, I am sincerely convinced that our interests were not properly represented.

Unfriendly, UNreliable and INcompetent. Via Nationale Taxatie Service (NTS) we had an appraisal carried out. This appraisal was performed by Roy Harmsen of real estate agency Atsma. Roy was inside for approximately 20 minutes and that same afternoon we received the appraisal report. This report was full of major errors. The living space was incorrect (bedroom and storage room not included), the value of comparable properties was inaccurate, the extension 'was forgotten', etcetera. The appraised market value was even lower than our WOZ value. After a phone call with Roy ('I will take another look') and his boss Henk ('I will ask Roy to call you back'), it remained silent. And nothing happened. After a week we contacted NTS and pointed out what was wrong. They came back with a response from Roy: 'I made mistakes, I will correct this but I am not adjusting the market value, I’m sticking to that'. If we had a 2nd opinion carried out which was more than 10% higher, we could get our money back from NTS. We had a second appraisal carried out and it was 20% higher than what Roy indicated. Roy did not keep any of his promises because the incorrect report was also never adjusted. If you pay €525 for a report, you should at least expect serious work to be done... but not with Roy. It seemed to us as if he doesn't enjoy his job, customers don’t matter to him, the quality of his work doesn’t matter either, but only his income is important. Never again Atsma for us.
