The sale of our house went smoothly, but the mortgage brokerage proved disastrous. Poor and unprofessional advice, and the financial advice turned out to be incorrect. For example, they stated in black and white that the annuity-free mortgage was 100% deductible. This causes the overviews to be incorrect. To this day, we regret our new mortgage because the old one seemed much more favorable. Our new mortgage advisor calls it shoddy work. Atsma takes zero responsibility and refers to the real estate agent who is no longer with them. Unfortunately, not recommended.

We used the services of this company last year to buy a house. We wanted the support of a real estate agent and also the support of the financial advisor for the mortgage. The mortgage advice went quite well and clearly. After we had provided all documentation and filled out several forms multiple times, we completed the process reasonably and have no complaints. As for the brokerage services, we are not satisfied at all. In our first conversation, we mentioned a number of things: location/region/city, specifically energy label (A or B) and very important that the property is not under a flight path. The first options we were shown by the real estate agent did not meet the energy label (they were E, F, and G). Then it was quiet for a while until we found an apartment in Haarlem that looked like something we were interested in. The real estate agent made the appointment very quickly and we visited together. We saw the apartment, we liked it, it was located where we wanted, price range and energy label. We spoke several times verbally about the flight path and we also sent an email asking for more details about that specific area (an email that went unanswered). While we were there, no planes flew by, there was no noise - we were happy. The real estate agent made the offer on our behalf as discussed and ultimately we signed the contract. Since we moved there, we are living in a NIGHTMARE because this neighborhood is actually under a flight path. Although I acknowledge some of the responsibility for this situation, I am honestly also of the opinion that our interests were not properly looked after.

Unfriendly, UNreliable and INcompetent. Via Nationale Taxatie Service (NTS) we had an appraisal carried out. This appraisal was performed by Roy Harmsen of real estate agency Atsma. Roy was inside for approximately 20 minutes and that same afternoon we received the appraisal report. This report was full of major errors. The living space was incorrect (bedroom and storage room not included), the value of comparable properties was inaccurate, the extension 'was forgotten', etcetera. The appraised market value was even lower than our WOZ value. After a phone call with Roy ('I will take another look') and his boss Henk ('I will ask Roy to call you back'), it remained silent. And nothing happened. After a week we contacted NTS and pointed out what was wrong. They came back with a response from Roy: 'I made mistakes, I will correct this but I am not adjusting the market value, I’m sticking to that'. If we had a 2nd opinion carried out which was more than 10% higher, we could get our money back from NTS. We had a second appraisal carried out and it was 20% higher than what Roy indicated. Roy did not keep any of his promises because the incorrect report was also never adjusted. If you pay €525 for a report, you should at least expect serious work to be done... but not with Roy. It seemed to us as if he doesn't enjoy his job, customers don’t matter to him, the quality of his work doesn’t matter either, but only his income is important. Never again Atsma for us.
