I just called Evers Makelaardij Amsterdam to potentially view a listing and I was connected to a lady who responded when I said ‘Heyhallo, this is Alexander, I have a question regarding X apartment’: ‘Do you speak to people like that with “Hey”? That’s very rude and not Dutch.’ To which I replied: ‘Excuse me, I think I also said Hey HALLO, furthermore, I would like to view an apartment and could become a tenant, it's a bit annoying how you are addressing me on this.’ After that, I heard again that it was not tolerated that I said ‘hey’ on the phone and that the property had already been viewed by several people and not by me, also the landlord was in the process of switching properties so it wouldn’t work. Normally I never post reviews but I wanted to share this experience.
