Unreliable realtor. Doesn't keep appointments and 1 star is actually too much. Unfortunately, I cannot respond to the reaction of the owner below and wanted to leave it at the bad review, but the response below asks for some clarification, so here’s what happened: - Tel Krop sold a house via bidding - We had the winning bid - Written confirmation from Monique Krop. List of movable assets shared. Notary confirmed. - The notary prepared the documents for the transfer - The party that had offered less in the bidding process still wanted to offer more, while we already had confirmation of the purchase and the documents were with the notary. We were offered a compensation if we would withdraw, because we were formally the buyers. - Ultimately went with the other buyer anyway, without compensating us. Not only ethically very questionable, but also illegal. I think it speaks for itself that you should stay as far away from Monique Krop as possible.

Attempts to charge 4000 euros because the white paint over the holes in the paintings does not match the magnolia paint underneath, and then withholding the full deposit, are the sort of shady business practices that real estate agents give a bad name. Avoid this real estate agent at all costs.

0 stars, 1 star is still generous. Moved to a newly renovated apartment on Eerste van der Helststraat in Amsterdam. No internet. In the 21st century. I had to contact them to have the contractor come back to break open the walls, find and connect the cable. A great start. Then: leak in the ceiling of the toilet. Every time the apartment above me showered. I had to contact them for repairs. When I dared to ask a contractor to come look at it myself, I was put in my place and told that they had to decide whether the damage would be their responsibility or if I caused it myself. Yes, I have flooded my own ceiling?! Well, apparently they decided that I did, because 1.5 years later it's still not repaired. Great shower room... but impractical. No shower door, so the water splashes everywhere. The door isn't painted with the correct paint, it's peeling off, swollen and the wood is rotting. Contact was made with them. A 'specialist' came by. And then nothing more. What now? Oh yes, the apartment above me is being renovated. After a particularly heavy rain shower I woke up at 5 am and saw brown water seeping along the bedroom walls. I had to save the furniture like a madman. I informed the real estate agency, but had to contact the contractors myself to have the repairs done above and prevent further damage to my apartment. The bedroom was unusable for three days while I dried everything myself; I had to sleep on the couch. I sent multiple emails with photos and videos, but received no response. The ceiling and walls are brown stained and outright disgusting. A week later I heard a strange noise in the kitchen. Another leak in the ceiling. Enough water to fill a bucket. I got hold of the contractor and he fixed it. But not before my kitchen wall had gotten quite damp. I emailed them again with photos and videos, but again no response. Let's not forget that the contractors didn't lay down any drop cloths or protect the surroundings. The entire staircase was full of cement dust and the dark blue carpet had turned white. I couldn't get down the stairs without my clothes getting stained. I sent an email about that and did receive a response... that it would be cleaned up once the work was done. So in 4 months. Do you want us to live in this asthma-hazardous environment for 4 months?! Another real estate agent received the same message and sent a cleaner (who only vacuumed the carpet, the walls of the staircase are still sticky and dirty). And I haven't even mentioned the bad ventilation yet. Every time people below cook, smoke, or even just let out a fart, my apartment smells like it. Seriously, my friend has asthma, so the cigarette smoke really has a negative effect on him, he was almost suffocated by it. I told them. They... did absolutely nothing. Well, the appraiser came back again, which again yielded nothing. I had a real estate agent when I rented this apartment, she also tried to contact them but was ignored. Reviews that she had posted on Facebook and Google were removed, and they'll probably do the same with this apartment. Oh, and definitely don't call them, they never pick up. I think they're screening calls now. During the last two leaks they deliberately ignored me, but they did send me an email with a rent increase. So there's definitely someone working! Why aren't they responding? I can only speculate that maybe they're required to inform the property owner about such problems and their associated costs, so it's better to ignore them and pretend everything is fine?! I suspect that they'll delay the repairs while at the same time painting the upper floor and hiding the costs of that in the renovation costs. Just a suspicion. How do I call this? Mismanagement is an understatement. I live with rotting walls and mold, to name just a few things! And the rent isn't cheap, let's just call it a premium price. It's clear that they don't care about the properties they manage, nor the living conditions of the tenants. Amsterdam is a fast market, they can re-rent it within a few hours. It's clear that they only care about their money. Whatever you want to call this level of unprofessional behavior, it's outright disgusting and I urgently ask everyone to seriously consider whether they want these clowns to manage their property or rent from them.
