A truly terrible experience - to be avoided. Engaging Kolmeijer Real Estate for the sale of my apartment in Nijmegen was a deeply disappointing and unprofessional experience. From the beginning there were fundamental errors, including an attempt to hide a higher commission in the contract. The presentation of the property was a disgrace. The photos were rushed and of extremely low quality, a fact confirmed by other real estate agents with whom I later spoke. The agent (Daniel) who conducted the viewings was completely unprepared. He arrived only five minutes before the first viewing without a 'for sale' sign and even lacked the most basic knowledge about the apartment. Communication was a constant battle. Even after offers had come in, they seemed to have no idea how to proceed. I had to ask them three times within a week to collect the necessary information from the buyer. Ultimately, they even lost the keys and did not hand them over to the buyer during the final inspection. During the process, I reported these problems multiple times to the owner, Rolf, but his dismissive reaction only confirmed the lack of professionalism at the office. The incompetence of Kolmeijer caused enormous stress during an already difficult process. I would strongly advise everyone to avoid using their services.

Misleading, unprofessional and completely lacking respect for the time of serious candidates Our experience with Van der Krabben Makelaars – and specifically with Indy van den Crommenacker – was frustrating, unprofessional and disappointing. Firstly: we understand that a landlord ultimately determines to whom they rent their property, and that there may be preferences (e.g., for storage). But be honest about that from the beginning, instead of letting serious candidates waste time and energy on a sham process. We responded within one hour after the property appeared on Funda and quickly received a viewing scheduled the same week, on Thursday. Indy initially reacted very quickly and seemed professional. Just one hour after the viewing, we gave our full agreement, without reservation, and also immediately provided all financial documents. Indy herself confirmed: “Often if there are no further comments from the proposal, the subsequent process can proceed quickly.” But from that moment everything changed. Communication completely stopped. No updates, no confirmation, no rejection. Only after repeatedly calling ourselves (without response) did we suddenly hear on Monday that another party was interested — and that their offer would be presented to the landlord first, because that party would use the property for storage. This was the first time we ever heard that “storage” was a decisive factor. And this while we were complete first, had given our agreement, and were ready to sign immediately. As if that wasn't enough, we sent a fictitious email as a test via another name. The answer? That “negotiations are underway and a rental agreement is being discussed.” That is absolutely incorrect. We did not want to negotiate at all — we already agreed. Either way: it’s not right. In addition, we noticed that from the moment Indy realized that I had previously been rejected by another property through her (while that property was still vacant two months later), communication completely dropped to zero. It feels like a previous rejection puts you on some kind of ‘blacklist’, because you are no longer taken seriously afterwards. Furthermore: • Called several times, usually no response or follow-up. • One day we called at 12:00 PM; it was said that Indy was on break and would call back within 30 minutes — that didn’t happen until three hours later. • With that previous property, they said they had chosen another candidate, but the property was still listed on Funda months later. We ultimately tried to resolve this by phone with one of the partners of Van der Krabben. Although the conversation itself went smoothly, nothing came out of it in terms of content, and there was mainly evasiveness. For that reason, we will file an official complaint with the NVM. All in all, this gives the impression of a real estate agent who: • Initially responds friendly and quickly, • Then distorts, falls silent and reacts selectively as soon as an internal preference exists, • And who keeps serious candidates on hold without fair play. If you invest seriously in a process as a tenant or entrepreneur, you clearly deserve clarity, communication and respect. You absolutely don’t get that here. Van der Krabben Makelaars portrays itself as a professional NVM real estate agent, but in practice there is very little evidence of that. Save yourself the frustration – choose an agent who does act honestly, transparently and professionally.

Our experience with Pouwerhuis, in particular with realtor Lisette Pouwer, is extremely bad and we strongly advise everyone not to do business with her. During the purchasing process, Lisette made commitments and agreements that were subsequently withdrawn completely without warning or consultation. This has led to great uncertainty and direct consequences for our living situation. Instead of taking responsibility, the consequences of her actions were passed on to us. An apology for causing this situation never came. What is even more serious: Lisette shares information with other buyers during the process about other bids, discussed matters during viewings, and even personal preferences of other buyers. This is extremely unprofessional and in conflict with the confidentiality you would expect from a realtor. As well as directly conflicting with the oath that a realtor should uphold. In addition, she makes gross mistakes in official documents and clearly works carelessly and unorganized. The communication was chaotic, the guidance absent, and agreements made proved worthless. As a buyer, you never feel taken seriously or somewhat involved in the process. Every question is quickly and easily dismissed and often, afterwards, answered incorrectly. What should have been a positive experience, buying a home, has become a frustrating, stressful, and unsafe situation thanks to Pouwerhuis and Lisette Pouwer. We will never do business with her again and strongly advise others to consider doing the same.
