The real estate agent informed during the viewing of the apartment that there was a bid below asking price and that 1 person hadn't secured their mortgage. If you then make a correct offer, which meets the seller's requirements, you expect proper handling and not to hear after 2 weeks that it has been sold to someone else. That such a thing can happen in the Netherlands is unheard of; the real estate agent should have at least relayed this information and let you know there was a higher bid.

The website is nothing more than a bulletin board for real estate agents. You pay 19 euros per month for Pararius (why? Just for an e-mail newsletter!) and then you pay each real estate office separately if you want to request a viewing. Requesting via Pararius is fictitious. There are even property advertisements that have long been full of viewings, old advertisements thus. Just a lure for real estate agents.
