We rented a beach house in hats. Perfect place
We rented Buitenplaats 103 for the summer of 2024. It was far too expensive and the service was terrible. The campsite behind the house is very noisy until 1 to 2 am. When we arrived, the mattresses were still damp and sweaty, as were the bathrooms. It wasn't clean, it smelled unpleasant, the rooms were extremely warm, everything was very worn out and greasy, and there were mosquitoes everywhere. A beautiful throw, which we had forgotten, turned out to be missing.
We stayed 2 nights at De Vlijt on Texel and the location is absolutely pleasant: quietly situated, close to De Cocksdorp, and ideal for exploring Texel further. The studio was neatly, spaciously and practically furnished, and met our expectations in terms of basic amenities. What unfortunately disappointed us were a number of things you would not expect at this price level (220 euros per night). For example, we paid extra (30 euros per night) for a third bed, but it turned out to be a bed with an uncomfortable, poor mattress. Very unfortunate and disproportionate to the surcharge. In addition, our daughter was severely bitten by mosquitoes during her stay. There are no mosquito nets available, nor insect repellent or any form of prevention. When we reported this at the restaurant (which is connected to the accommodation), we were told that “the restaurant is separate from the studios”, with no empathy or solution. Upon contact with the host, we only heard that mosquito nets cannot be installed (yet), but that they are “working on it”.
At the beginning of this year, we sold our holiday home through Callinghe. From the very first moment, we felt competent and well supported by the real estate agency. We were particularly impressed by Sandra's pleasant, friendly, positive and expert attitude, even in difficult situations! We are very satisfied and wholeheartedly recommend real estate agency Callinghe!
Super friendly staff
We had booked holiday home de Blenck 3 in Callantsoog. Unfortunately, it was a worn-out and dirty house, so even the new bathrooms didn't help. Stinking drain in one bathroom and silverfish. Kitchen cabinets dirty inside and out, blinds dirty and torn, etc. Rusty nails protruded from the garden fence and and and... I can’t even list everything. We filed a complaint with the local office and also sent photos... but unfortunately there was no response. First and last time booked.
On July 16th last year, I booked and paid for accommodation via Booking.com with Callinghe holidays for the Vlijt First class studio’s in Texel for the period from August 30th last year to September 1st last year. Upon arrival on August 30th last year, it turned out that Callinghe holidays had cancelled my accommodation. It was stated that my reservation was an error booking. This meant for me that there was no booking, and therefore no accommodation. The amount of the accommodation was €249.50. My question to Callinghe holidays is can I receive my money as soon as possible, because I did not use the aforementioned accommodation. Callinghe holidays does not intend to refund my money. Why I do not know. I am no longer receiving a response from Callinghe holidays. I find this very customer unfriendly.
Very friendly service during the key handover. It couldn't be easier. Very helpful, as we had brought the wrong sheets with us, and they lent us the correct ones. The accommodation was booked via FEWO.
The apartment had serious defects and was in poor condition. There was no response to emails with complaints. A personal visit led to a friendly rejection. WhatsApp also offered me real help. Upon departure, I showed the numerous defects again through photos and received another friendly rejection: 'I will see what I can do for you' – namely nothing. We have had so many nice holidays and great accommodations in Julianadorp and Callantsoog, but De Wijde Blick 110 was by far the worst, the noisiest, above a delivery entrance on the main road with a bus stop. Our reserved parking space was available twice, with number , and the other owner complained. The parking space that actually belonged to the apartment was unusable because it was too narrow to get into, even with a small car. And I had specifically inquired about a few points before booking, otherwise I would have rented another property. I have rarely been so irritated, rarely given such a bad review, but here it is clear and demonstrably justified. Far too much money for a dilapidated apartment with countless damages and deficient service. Other holiday homes of other owners and rental companies in this large building are probably in much better condition, we got the impression. Other rental companies or landlords arrange it properly and don't just postpone it. Or they offer a voucher or something else for justified, multiple complaints. This was simply a ruined vacation. What a waste of money and precious holiday days.
Very ‘meager’ kitchen equipment (only 3 different teaspoons and 2 coffee mugs, for a house with 4 to 5 people). The house was very dirty, dishes and cutlery unwashed, beds dirty, shower not clean, hair and cobwebs everywhere... Well, it did look neglected; the front door was very difficult to open and close. The sofa was broken (a dog had probably tried to chew on it) and the blinds in the living room wouldn’t close either. The bathroom was difficult to enter because the shower wall was simply too small for this ‘tiny’ bathroom. The wardrobes in the bedroom couldn't be opened completely, probably because the beds were in front of them. Otherwise, nothing would have fit. The number and placement of the power outlets, for example, evoke the early 1980s. Not much has changed since then. We have stayed in Dutch holiday homes before, but for this price you can certainly find something better. You quickly notice that houses are decorated with a little ‘love and humor’. Or maybe not, just like us. We won't be coming back.

This is the second time we have rented a holiday home with Callinghe and we have always been very satisfied. Every time the booking process has been very easy and trouble-free. When I made a mistake with the details the first time, I was helped quickly and kindly. The staff are always very friendly and helpful on the phone. The holiday homes are clean, tidy, equipped with everything you need and very comfortable. We felt very comfortable and would love to return!

Via Callinghe we booked a holiday home in Callantsoog, Garnekuul 7. The house had 2 bedrooms and was offered for 4 people. We cannot recommend the house. There was minimal kitchen equipment and the dishes were seriously damaged. The coffee filter machine barely made 2 cups of coffee, so not all 4 people could have a cup during breakfast. There were no normal pans - there were small and medium-sized pans. After our consultation at the Callinghe office, the homeowner came to measure the bottoms of the pots with a measuring tape. He then sent these photos to Callinghe and there was no further response. The house is located directly on the edge of the holiday park and you can hear the street. We would have liked to submit a property valuation. However, the review link sent by Callinghe was not available. When I asked about it, I was told that there was a new page and the link would no longer work. Therefore, at this point I rate both the mediocre holiday home and the treatment of the employees of Calllinghe. There are other holiday home agencies that I would recommend.
Very friendly people
Through this brokerage firm, we had a chalet in Callantsoog. Unfortunately, the Chalet Bello was a complete disaster and the Callinghe agency was also very unprofessional and unfriendly to customers! We had no heating or hot water in the chalet! The toilet was dirty, just like the sheets. And that remained all night until we moved out the next day. No sign of help from Callinghe! We were even threatened on the phone! Very bad mediation! Never again!
We booked our holiday home here, Duinland 181. And I must say, the house was really great. It matched the photos. Upon arrival, there were even fresh flowers on the table. The kitchen was fully equipped. The garden was completely fenced off. Parking wasn't directly on the property, but you could drive into the garden to unload and load your belongings. There was a large sofa and two extra armchairs, so there was enough space to sit if you were with a larger group. We were only two of us, so it was perfect for us. The bathroom had sufficient storage space. There were also plenty of coat hooks in the house. And also plenty of lamps. Sometimes you have too little light in holiday homes. The heating was easy to regulate via the thermostat. 4 stars instead of 5 because you always heard a loud clicking sound in the master bedroom at night. Unfortunately, it woke you up. Maybe it was due to the heating. The noise kept coming and going. The laminate flooring looked a bit dated and the shelf in front of the mirror in the bathroom was a little unstable. The TV was a bit small, but that may be our personal preference. We would definitely book the house again.

My partner, my dog and I rented a small 'hut' for a week. The keys were handed over, but the first time it was difficult to enter the property because the barrier did not recognize the license plate twice. So go back to reception twice. We had to drive through the camp twice because the house number was hard to see. The hut itself is very cute (but much too small for 2 people with luggage! Hardly any room to store your own clothes), but there were a few points that crept in during the week, which was unpleasant. 1. Either you sweat at night or you invite the mosquitoes in. That was terrible! 2. From the outside, the complex has been preserved with little love. 3. If it rains, which we unfortunately had for 5 out of 7 days, EVERYTHING got wet. Unfortunately, you couldn't keep the door open otherwise it would rain in and then the stuffy air, as explained above. 4. Unfortunately, there are also dead mosquitoes on the walls. There were spiderwebs and under the bed and in the corners lay dust mice with old hair. Well, I vacuumed them up myself. Curtains super dirty! 5. It is very noisy there. We could hear the neighbors using the toilet. I found it uncomfortable to watch TV or talk in the evening. Overall, it was OK for a week. But I don't want to go back there again.

First and last time through Callinghe. The ladies on the phone are neatly polite, unfortunately that he calls himself a manager, still has something to learn from his colleagues. The gentleman wasn't very keen on my complaints regarding an item on the bill of €25 for insurance, why insurance? I am obliged to take it. I did get an alternative: pay a deposit of €150 and then trust that you will get the deposit fully refunded. It’s a shame rental companies like this one, which rake in this €25, four thousand times per year, according to the manager. Go enjoy the nice weather instead of complaining was his advice.
I booked accommodation SANDEPARK 66 via Callinghe. Luckily, it was only for a week. The house is in poor condition. There are many things broken and some things are very dirty. The surroundings of the house are in a very neglected and dilapidated state. For the price, it's a disgrace. The owner invested here once, some time ago, and now they just make money. I would not rebook this accommodation. No response was received to a written complaint via email to Callinghe.

Read reviews beforehand! In October, we booked a vacation rental through this company and made a deposit. For personal reasons, we are unable to go on vacation. Therefore, we cancelled two days ago. Today we received the cancellation invoice, an unbelievable 25% (400 euros) for nothing. The apartment can easily be rented out again. Unbelievable!! Hands off!

We booked in October 2022. Upon arrival, we received the key and our bedding. OK. Subsequently, we were directed towards where our vacation home should be located. It was there, but it was occupied. The guests before us had not yet left. They wanted to stay for one more day. After a 4-hour drive, we were offered pancakes in a café to bridge the waiting time until the house could be cleaned up. However, we had to pay for the drinks ourselves, but that could be clarified in a short conversation. The homeowners were very friendly. The house was okay. I can imagine that it gets very hot there in the summer. I wouldn't stay there again Book Callinghe. I missed friendliness. I felt quite unwelcome.

Rented a cottage through this company. The cottage itself was certainly neat but all the hassle needs to be much better. Towels that you have to order separately are old and thin; €9.50 per person feels like a lot of money. Consciously chose a larger cottage with 4 beds. Bed linen was ordered for €13.50 per person, but there were only 2 sets for 2 double beds. €27.50 for a linen set is excessive and why does everyone have to share a bed? The deposit was €400, which you get back after 2 weeks if everything is okay. You are not present during this check, so you just hope that everything is fine. The cottage was very neat but there were only 6 knives available. This while there are 30 forks and spoons. We slept in Julianadorp, so to collect and return the key you first have to drive for another 15 minutes. Response to message from the owner: We certainly called about the bed linen that same evening. An 'extra' set was then brought after a telephone discussion. I understand that you do not check the bed linen yourself; a review is useful for that.

We discovered Julianadorp by chance and booked our first holiday apartment via Callantsoog. We were very satisfied. We stayed there twice last year, and this year we unfortunately only had a gap in the booking, but everything was great again! Quick and uncomplicated booking, although check-in and check-out were unfortunately only possible in Callantsoog (a point of criticism from our side). The apartment was top, the Callantsoog team was top, problems and questions were answered and resolved immediately... Many thanks to the Callantsoog team!!!!!! We are already looking forward to our next stay in Julianadorp.

Unpleasant place, never again! We already booked an apartment in Callantsoog for a week via Callinghe in 2020 and were unable to arrive because we would have to quarantine for 14 days after arriving in Germany. We had to pay the full price for the booking and there was no possibility of postponement. Now we had booked another 6 days in Callantsoog and unfortunately I tested positive two days before. I contacted Callinghe again and asked for a postponement to a later date, and another apartment would not have been a problem - hopeless! Instead, I was asked how severe my corona illness was and whether I still wanted to travel. What a disgrace! In total, they have now collected € 1.400,- from us and have never provided any service.

If there are travel restrictions due to coronavirus, you cannot rebook and you will not get your money back. Reason: Coronavirus has been known for 1.5 years already.
The placement went (almost) smoothly. Regarding communication via email and telephone, there was only differing information about the key handover. Otherwise, booking was easy. The Chalet Guus on Texel was also very beautiful and modern -the entrance is easily missed -Opening and closing the door is a disaster -You had to make the bed yourself and remove it -For a week there was only one towel and bath towel - the bed and open closet were dusty - the boiler was scaled - Pots outdated - no soap, dishwashing detergent, little toilet paper - simply poorly equipped. Ultimately, I was disappointed that we still had to buy and clean so much. For an apartment/room, that costs more than €100 per night.
