We had seen a house. Immediately made an appointment for a viewing. We couldn't be accommodated until 2 weeks later, which was perfectly fine. The day before the viewing, we were called (a voicemail message left) with the announcement that the viewing appointment would not take place because the seller had accepted an offer. It would have been nice and clever if the real estate agent had called us to let us know that someone had made an offer and whether we might be able to come by earlier (which we could). Our first experience with this realtor is bad.

They were the only ones of the 4 invited sales brokers who came with a significantly lower value and advised selling price. Fortunately, we followed our gut feeling and went with another broker. Our house was sold within 2 weeks for a much higher price than Spitman's ‘highest achievable’. For us it is still incomprehensible that they advised so differently compared to the rest and were also the most expensive in terms of commission. We got the feeling that they lacked knowledge of the market in our (popular) Arnhem residential area.
