I can first recommend the company von Oven if you are considering purchasing new window frames. Our priority was to preserve authentic details. Jeffrey advised us well on this. Showed craftsmanship in manufacturing new wooden window frames into which the existing stained glass was reinstalled. The monument green colored window frames on the entire front also brought the house back to the beautiful 1930s style. Should something not work properly, you can always call us, they said. Keeping that in mind, it was worth a try when a door frame previously installed by another company (which no longer exists) stopped closing during these winter times, calling Jeffrey. The next day, Jeffrey came by immediately and repaired the door for us. Therefore this review because this company certainly fits into the category 'warm shower' for the quick good service. Very heartfelt thanks.

Very poor customer service for a premium price. Last year we ruined our entire summer because we were dependent on their commitments regarding project delivery dates. Had to renegotiate all subsequent work, i.e. roof renovation, terrace construction, scaffolding, exterior and interior painting. Very bad communication. EDIT: I see that the Owner in his response blamed material suppliers, which is not true. I have emails stating that the woodworking specialist had just left their company. The project had to be postponed, with consequences for all other projects. I had to replan the entire renovation of the other parts of the building, plus painting the windows in the late autumn, during the rainy season, instead of in the summer. The window installation team left the house in a mess, everything covered in dust and dirt. When I asked about cleaning and preventative measures, as is normally done, the answer was: 'we are not a cleaning company but builders.'

We had our window frames and doors of the entire house (3 floors) including shed and patio door replaced by von Oven. From the first contact with Jeffrey, we were helped excellently, also with good advice, very pleasant. The offer is clear and what was agreed upon has been executed neatly. They were friendly employees who came to install the window frames at our home. Everything is finished nicely down to the details and excellent aftercare. Appointments are kept. Top quality for a fair price. We are very satisfied. I can wholeheartedly recommend von Oven.

Von Oven & Zn, as part of the sustainability effort for our home, replaced both windows and frames with aluminum frames and also wooden windows with new, thicker wooden windows, all with ht++ glass. We were impressed by the craftsmanship and expertise of all employees. Everything went smoothly, starting with good advice and flawless measurements up to the placement of the frames and the finishing. Agreements were kept and work was carried out with great precision and attention to detail. The aftercare was also excellent. We are very enthusiastic and can wholeheartedly recommend the company.

I had window frames replaced by von oven window frames that were neatly installed according to appointment by expert people. They work tidily and also finish the job beautifully, so I really recommend them.

If you want to be treated unprofessionally and addressed disrespectfully, definitely consider using this one-man show. If you don't have a villa in Benoordenhout, apparently you have no right to a safe key handover, but these are instead pushed through the letterbox. They don’t seem to understand that 'putting keys in the letterbox' is less secure than handing them over personally. We aren't asking them to go above and beyond. We only ask that they hand over the keys personally to us instead of putting them in the letterbox, which for obvious reasons is also better for them, as they are responsible for the keys until we receive them. But that last point seems to be very difficult for Jeffrey to understand, which is quite sad.

Jef and his team made and installed new windows in our old frames. Neatly done, listened well to our wishes and even delivered faster than planned and before winter in these times. And always friendly :). Thanks and hats off!

High-quality supplied and replaced hardwood frames and sliding doors. Excellent after-sales and service. Delivering on their promises.

Although they delivered what was promised on the window side, the interior finish wasn't executed with the greatest attention to detail and more work is needed (by another company) to make it look neat from the inside as well. Moreover, the windows have some stains between the glass (double glazing) that I will never get out and which make them look dirty in places, and other stains on the outside that I can't remove and for which I need to hire (and pay) another company to thoroughly remove them, which cannot simply be rinsed away. Furthermore, the front windows are difficult to open and although they reinstalled them to make them lighter, the final result still doesn't meet my expectations. Perhaps they should have told us more clearly from the negotiation phase that we would no longer get light windows if we switched to double glazing, then we would have chosen other alternatives, which they didn't offer. So all in all, good work delivered, but not 100% satisfied.

Fine professional workers. They cover your floor to prevent damage and clean up their things after work so you can sit normally in your house in the evening

No pressure was exerted, everything went at a pace I could determine. After requesting several quotes for replacing the window frames, I chose R.A. von Oven & Zn B.V. A good feeling right after the first conversation. I explained my medical condition and it was taken into account. R.A. von Oven & Zn B.V. may not be the (cheapest) provider, but certainly not the most expensive. The job is now complete and I had expected to finish painting or possibly repairing plasterwork, but e.e.a. was finished so beautifully that I didn't have to do anything more and I am very happy about that. I now see the difference between a contractor who installs window frames and a specialist like R.A. von Oven & Zn B.V. Every day the gentlemen arrived on time, they were friendly and helpful and above all skilled. Removing the window frames did not result in any damage and everything was neatly finished. Appointments were always kept as agreed and every evening when I came home, the house (as much as possible) was left tidy again. My house is now not only better insulated but also a piece more renovated. From aluminum to plastic, what a difference, my whole house has had a (face)lift. The bedroom already had double glazing, but I am seriously considering replacing this too with the window frames that I now have. Will undoubtedly save on noise. Friendly, reliable and skilled. After requesting several quotes for replacing the window frames, we came into contact with RA von Oven & Zn through a mutual acquaintance. After the first meeting, we had a good feeling, and when we saw the quote, we were convinced. Perhaps not the (cheapest) provider, but certainly not the most expensive. The job is now almost complete, due to my last-minute change from HR++ to HR+++ glass, the ventilation grille(s) no longer fit and had to be ordered. According to Jeffrey, the correct grilles will arrive within a week, 100% confidence in a good outcome and happy that the ‘real’ work has already been done. On March 19th, I gave my approval on the quote, the job was completed in just under 1 month, which is great! Every day the gentlemen arrived on time, they were friendly and helpful and above all skilled. Removing the window frames resulted in almost no damage, which is often different. The very limited damage to the plasterwork, the gentlemen neatly repaired, while it had been clearly agreed beforehand that such damage would be at my expense. That they did this unasked is very nice. Appointments were always kept as agreed and every evening when I came home, the house was (as much as possible) left tidy again. Our house is now not only (better) insulated, but also tidied up considerably. I even dare to say that we now have the most beautiful window frames on the street. Almost a shame that we don’t have any more window or other jobs in this house for the coming years, because I would definitely put the men of von Oven & Zn back to work, without hesitation. Three aluminum windows to be installed before summer, one window would have a mosquito screen fitted. Nice people but I had to ask them to come back to finish the job properly. The mosquito screen arrived later and didn't fit. After repeatedly insisting, I heard nothing more from them about it. Neither by phone nor by multiple emails. Not even after requesting that they refund the amount for the mosquito screen. Careless and not professional. Doesn't communicate at all!

Von Oven delivered beautiful, fast and neat work. Our new rear facade fits perfectly in style with our 1930s house. The work was completed neatly and all items were cleaned up. Communication went well. Von Oven is recommended!
