We went days earlier for a viewing, but they didn't show up. We had spent more than an hour and invested time/money into it. I tried to email them and call them... No response. I understand that apartments are sometimes rented out quickly, but in that case, a short message saying it was no longer available would have saved us a lot of headaches. Waste of time, I won't try to engage their services again.

Kim sold our house in a fast and professional manner. The communication was smooth and always to-the-point. Her advice was very valuable and that accelerated the sales process.

The initial contact was great, very helpful. If something needed to be repaired, the service was fine. However, the organization is really unprofessional in terms of communication and finances. When it comes to financial matters, they hardly respond at all. They are responsible for the communication but often hide behind the building owners. If they make mistakes, they do not bear the (entire) financial consequences of their errors. I was happy that it was a means to get a nice studio in a great location. However, the entire communication style, the lack of communication and the lack of taking (financial) responsibility was annoying and had some unfair consequences.

Kim helped us very well in our search for a home. We were received correctly and neatly, where Kim spoke to us extensively. What I appreciated was that she also made it personal and showed genuine interest in us, but also told us something about herself. Kim keeps her appointments and also carries out the aftercare (a quick check-in) correctly! Thank you Kim!!!

scammers, 5 months ago I handed over the rented apartment and they still haven't returned my deposit, I paid a lawyer and they tried to scam me by charging for curtains in sizes that don't exist in the apartment I rented. They have not yet returned my money and I am going to file charges, unethical and thieves

Scammers. I just helped a friend move out of a house that was rented from this company. The roof of the kitchen had been leaking for over 3 years (previous tenants had the same problem) and the leak wasn't even 'fixed' until after persistent requests because it wasn’t a healthy way of living. Their solution was to build on top of the roof, so all the water would collect on the neighbors' roof - not very correct or considerate. Although the leak was 'repaired', they never sent anyone to fix the water damage caused by the leak that spread throughout the entire kitchen. Kim didn’t even get my friend’s name right when she contacted him to settle up, so she’s poorly organized even on a good day. Her message came across as scammy and had to be verified with the owner before proceeding. Despite the water damage from the leak, we thoroughly cleaned this house before checking out. It was left in the same condition as it was received, apart from slight wear and tear, which is according to Dutch law. Of course, Kim complained during checkout that the house was dirty and damaged, even though that’s not true. They overbooked themselves and only have 24 hours between tenants, so they try to make the house's maintenance into the problem of the previous tenant. Legally, this is incorrect. Kim knows this and she’s still trying to manipulate you out of your own money. If you are a renter, RUN. Do not rent from Kim or anyone she does business with. These people are trying to profit off expats and a housing crisis, but they're lazy. They will ignore you while you're renting, and scam you when you leave. If you are a landlord, you’re paying Kim for her specialty: scamming tenants. I agree with another reviewer who said that they deserve 0 stars. I will keep this review aside and monitor it because they like to remove bad reviews.

Fantastic experience with KI-Makelaardij! They were professional, efficient and expert throughout the entire process. My realtor was very attentive and gave excellent advice. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable real estate agent.

Terrible realtor. Viewed a house twice, with the promise after the second viewing that we would hear who was going to rent the house that same day or at the latest the next day. This was on Wednesday. Ultimately, we had to call them ourselves on Friday; they said she would call back that evening. Well, that didn't happen. Eventually, we called again on Saturday. After a voicemail, we received a callback within 5 minutes with a very vague story which amounted to someone else being chosen. The poor communication is strung together with excuses and if you manage to get hold of her, you’re really lucky. We genuinely regret having invested so much of our time and energy in this and would strongly advise others NOT to go into business with this realtor. You'll save yourself a lot of frustration by looking for a realtor who actually does what a realtor is supposed to do.

Recently received an apartment on Strijp-S in Eindhoven through Ki- Makelaardij. Kim has a personal approach and knows how to get things done. She helped me find an apartment in a very pleasant way. Highly recommended!

Extremely unreliable and disrespectful. Missed appointments and phone calls. Answers emails with at least a week's delay. That’s not what you are looking for, at least not if you have respect for yourself. The laziest real estate agent of Eindhoven.

After 2 viewings and the promise to hear something soon, never heard anything again. The real estate agent is unreachable and doesn't respond to anything. Disappointing.

In March 2021 I started renting a house at Lourdeshof through KI Makerlaardij. Here I had contact with Kim van der Steeg. After 2 months, we had a considerable amount of water on the floor in a bedroom and the wall was soaking wet; we reported this, and a plumber was supposed to come. After repeatedly unclogging the drain (which never solved the problem) and several months later, they concluded that the groutwork in the wet area of the shower was porous and therefore allowed moisture through into the wall. That moisture had been running into the wall for at least half a year at that point. They thought to quickly resolve it by tiling over it but because the moisture was already in the wall, the new grout started to mold. We reported this again, and as of 07/07/2023!!!! It has not been resolved. We have paid the full rent every month, which was not cheap at all. Every time we try to resolve it with Kim, she acts like she doesn't decide anything and that we shouldn't be contacting her, that everything is unpleasant. Then she comes along with the owner or contractors, and subsequently nothing is resolved. Ultimately, we moved due to all this misery. I advise everyone not to do business with KI Makelaardij to rent a property or have it rented out by Kim. She doesn't keep appointments; if you make an appointment, expect her to arrive at least 15 minutes late or not at all. As soon as she wants to make an appointment, everything has to happen immediately, while you are working and can’t let them know a day in advance that you need a free day. It's a shame you can't give 0 stars because even 1 is too much for KI Makelaardij. Overall, NEVER RENT FROM KI MAKELAARDIJ, the biggest mistake of my life; I haven’t experienced any enjoyment of living for over 2 years, all thanks to Kim van der Steeg. Another update: after moving out, we had made an appointment for a final inspection. And as you probably already suspect, Kim doesn't show up. After fifteen minutes, we texted her where she was, and then she came with the excuse that everything ran over time and she wouldn’t be coming anymore. Now she is making a problem of several things, such as weeds in the garden which are a meter high; if I had removed them neatly and they had then replaced the bathroom, they would have been at least 4 weeks further before a new resident could move in - by that time the weeds would be 2 meters high. The kitchen was supposedly not clean enough, which is only possible if Kim had shown up for the inspection where agreements about this could have been made, as is the normal procedure. Now she’s doing everything to make sure they don't return the deposit because she doesn't like that we complained about the property that never was right; very childish. Bad reviews are apparently removed… even though they are more than justified. I check every day whether the review is still there, if not I will just post it again.

What a bad thing this is. Extremely rude and very poor communication. Very bad maintenance of the property but still asking the main price. After trying several times to resolve leakage and mold problems in the house, nothing had been done after 2 years. Do not do business with this woman! Received comment after 3 weeks about posting a negative review, after which she also removed my review. Apparently, honest reviews are not allowed to be posted.

Kim made it possible for us to find a really nice home despite the fact that it's currently difficult for first-time buyers. We can honestly say nothing other than she is a very good, friendly and helpful real estate agent who ensures you find a suitable place. Thank you Kim!

Very unprofessional and very poor communication!

I have been working with Kim vd Steeg for years, she has years of experience and knows exactly what I want as a landlord! Very skilled, handling from A to Z is excellent!

First they deceived me, they first entered into a contract with me under the name 123wonen. But without informing me beforehand, they cheated me with a new contract from a new company KI Makelaardij that never became known. I will never trust such people again. Secondly, they charge me too much without clear invoices, I have sent messages several times, no clear answer. They even still call me by the wrong name. Unbelievable, how can you trust this kind of agents?? Thirdly, they make it more difficult at the end of the check-out session. While that was already agreed between tenant and owner. Throughout the entire period no service and no good attitude. I have suffered enough and I am going to complain even more.

Very unprofessional and not recommended. After viewing a rental property that I really liked and after sending all the necessary documents, Kim, the owner of the real estate agency, gave no updates whatsoever. I had to chase her repeatedly and was told I would receive an answer later that same day. I am still waiting for an answer... which probably will never come.
