We bought a house through Helmig, which was advertised as move-in ready. Unfortunately, it turned out to be far from that: we ended up in a renovation project. • The kitchen is fully connected on one circuit, making the induction plate unusable and impossible to fix without extensive structural work. • The shower cabin proved dangerous and defective. It's an expanded cabin with a glass door that was supposed to open inward but did not fit properly. During normal use, one of those glass doors suddenly shot out of its frame. Fortunately, this happened to an adult and not our 5-year-old child. • Several power outlets do not work or were loose. • The laminate flooring, which was supposedly newly installed, is too tight and now bulges up. In addition, we encountered numerous smaller defects such as loose door handles, a cracked toilet bowl, and even an electrical cable coming out from under the bathroom mirror. These are not minor cosmetic flaws but serious defects that should be flagged by real estate agents and buyers warned about. Very disappointing and certainly not what one expects when buying a house advertised as move-in ready.

She managed to tell the buyers this house has been for sale for a long time, while Helmig had put our house up for sale for 1 week. So, in other words, offer the asking price and you have it. Afterwards, mistakes were made with the preliminary purchase agreement. I contacted them three times but it didn't get through; I was treated like a small child by the secretary, also by Marieke. If both of us are owners of the property, my husband and I should both sign, but that wasn’t necessary; only my husband signed. I was crossed out on the purchase agreement. How sad I felt, and still am. The entire sale and dependency have gone very badly. What a shame, this doesn't deserve an award.

Via this broker, a house was offered in Halsteren at Mère 9. Both on Funda and on the company’s own website, this property was listed as a normal residence. Also during the scheduling of a viewing appointment and during two viewings, no details regarding the destination of this property were reported. Only in the preliminary purchase agreement could we discover that it concerned a so-called service dwelling with an agricultural designation. This means that the asking price was completely not in accordance with the designation and that it was/is not possible to obtain a mortgage for it. The truth compels me to say that this information was included in the paper folder of the house. Behind all the texts that we had already read several times on Funda and therefore skipped. When inquiring with the broker, it is stated that this was withheld at the request of the sellers. However, it is the responsibility of the broker to ensure that buyers are provided with correct information before they decide to purchase. This 'joke' has cost us a lot of time and the costs we incurred for a structural survey were also wasted money. The property in question remained listed for several months with incorrect information on Funda and the company’s own website. Afterwards, the property was re-listed as a 'new listing' on Funda and the company’s own website with a footnote about the designation.
