F. van Liempt
Chris van der Duim was found as the real estate agent during the purchase of the property. A real estate agent who certainly has a passion for his profession. After completing the purchase, he managed to get our house on the market due to the good impression he had left. That's when the trouble really started. Extremely slow in starting the sales process. Weeks had to wait before the property appeared on Funda and when it finally did appear, the entire presentation was not complete. No floor plan, no 3D, no video and the text was open for improvement. A house in the higher price range (and certainly the other houses) should not be economized on to present it. Chris seems only interested in making a lot of money and cutting costs. After some comments about it, he came himself to measure the property because yes, that saves him costs, otherwise he has to pay for it to the company Zibber. Ultimately, the first week is very busy with viewings but many people drop out. These could not be properly informed beforehand about the situation and therefore had to come and see for themselves. Hardly any feedback from Chris about the visits. Then there are even more viewings that we were not informed about and which came as a complete surprise. The communication between Chris, Linda (Chris's employee) and us is anything but good and trust began to diminish. Requests that take little time to respond to are not adequately addressed. Soon the excuse “busy” is brought up while they only have a few houses for sale, this cannot be true. Chris is also not fully present due to issues in his private life. Things are mixed up and he also gave visitors a false picture of things. After a few warm-up attempts in the style of if they have sold their own house then they will buy yours and if it is still for sale in 3 months then I will buy it through you, doubt increased even more. Ultimately, he calls me with the message that the property has been sold and that there is only a small issue with the municipality but which is no problem at all. Financing not a problem at all, no, they are paying it almost entirely from their own funds. Well, I wasn’t surprised when a call came 4 days later that they couldn’t resolve both the financing and the issue with the municipality. That was the drop with this real estate agent who has told too many untruths to us and to visitors. Even one visitor who just came directly because the realtor himself didn't hear from him to schedule a viewing…. For us in any case NEVER Chris van der Duim Realty and I also advise everyone not to enter into an agreement with him without the agreement that you can cancel free of charge. The man is good at acquiring new customers, which he did with the person who saw our house and it even seems that his goal is to acquire new customers through the properties that are priced higher in the market. Also many hidden defects found in the purchased property of which Chris must have been aware, after all, the whole neighborhood knew what happened in 2024. Dear Chris, we are not lead generators but clients who want to sell a house without you having other interests besides. Good luck with your business and learn from your mistakes and above all, admit them instead of just blaming other circumstances.
