Now I already knew that a verbal agreement is not legally binding. I don’t need a purchasing agent for that. So now I am to blame? So I shouldn’t have told my children, family and friends the good news yet? It seems to me this is about 'decency' and 'professionalism', and not about the ruling of the Supreme Court of December 9, 2011. Our purchasing agent has indicated that they rarely experience this. The task of a selling broker - as a professional party - is now precisely to avoid these kinds of unpleasant issues. After all, it’s not a Marketplace sale of an old sofa. With a lot of interest in a property, a 'sale by tender' is better for all parties involved. Reinerie has also broken their own glasses (and that of the client), because I had no desire to negotiate further. And I am leaving other properties from Reinerie on Funda alone.
