Finally, read your contract carefully before signing because the LAW is followed according to the book but still the agreements are not met. My contract was suddenly terminated 6 weeks before renewal because the building was allegedly sold while new viewings already took place during my move. More than 6 weeks later, there has been no refund of the deposit or email received. Advice: DO NOT GO INTO BUSINESS WITH CITY RENTAL!

This owner (David) rents to foreign students who were not familiar with Dutch law. He therefore takes advantage of the opportunity to subject them to his own rules. Do not expect technical support if something goes wrong, as they avoid their responsibilities. On the other hand, he knows how to be disrespectful when we, for example, insist on a repair. Finally, do not wait until you receive your full deposit back. He waits until the student has returned to their country to give back only part of it. They are renting out apartments that are managed by fraudsters. Be careful of agencies. The owners do not provide advance payments for bills. Be especially cautious with the apartment on Strevelsweg, managed by owner David, an exceptional fraudster. I paid 2400e for a year of bills, 200e per month. I actually used utilities worth 1700 euros. He did not return the 700e to me and does not want to send the bills. Think twice if you don't want to lose money.

They charge 1 to 2 months' rent as a service fee while the amount is supposed to be paid by the property owner and not by the tenant. Other companies do not do that. I would strongly advise everyone to avoid this company and temporarily stay somewhere via Airbnb or fletcher.nl or booking.com until you have found the right apartment.
