I rented through Border Estate+ for four years and it was generally fine. Overall a good experience, but there were also some points for improvement in communication. For example, the communication towards me and the other tenants was sometimes flawed, such as during renovations or visits by third parties. During a roof renovation, I, as a tenant of the attic room, experienced nuisance, and this was not immediately adequately addressed. Ultimately it was resolved, but that could have happened faster. Also, reporting problems via the portal doesn't always seem to be picked up quickly. Overall a reasonable landlord, but there is still room for improvement in terms of communication.

I have been renting an apartment through Border Estate for over two years and have had an excellent experience with them. From the moment I signed the contract, their team has been incredibly professional and responsive. I lived in one of their buildings for a number of years. The building itself was beautiful and I lived there with much pleasure, it is managed well every day. However, be warned that the agency will almost every time try to charge you too much. Firstly, the price of the room was higher compared to similar offers elsewhere in the city, so I advise checking their prices via the Rental Committee. Secondly, when I was locked out, they charged me 150 euros for a new key, which is quite high. Thirdly, there were a number of unjustified costs that were deducted from my deposit when I moved out. They charged me cleaning costs based on the cleanliness of the common areas, despite the fact that these common areas are shared with more than 10 people and were regularly used when I moved out. They also charged me for the replacement of the mattress, despite the stains on the mattress already being present upon moving in, and the charged price did not correspond to the actual cost of replacement. I also have it on authority from my former neighbor that the mattress was not even replaced, but that they put a mattress protector on it before re-renting the room. However, I cannot confirm this. The agency reacted slowly when I disputed the charges and ultimately I had to drop the case due to a lack of responsiveness on their part. It is certainly nothing new to receive this kind of behavior from a landlord, but be warned: if you move in with this agency, stay vigilant, know your tenant rights and stick to your position more than I did.
