I worked with Schieland Borsboom NVM Real Estate based on an exclusive purchase agreement. Although the team was sometimes friendly and responsive, the overall experience was disappointing. We visited about 10 homes and made 4 offers – including the highest bid on a house in Montfoort – but none resulted in a successful purchase. In some cases, requested viewings were never organized and progress was slow despite the urgency of my living situation. Ultimately, I had to find and buy a home myself without their involvement. Nevertheless, I was charged the full commission, which I paid to close the file. I believe that the value provided did not match the expectations raised at the beginning of the assignment. I share this experience to help others make well-informed decisions. Transparency is important when choosing a real estate agency.

VERY disappointing experience with Schieland Borsboom. No proactive follow-up, property received no attention at all, poor accessibility and even an agreement on a marketing package was never visibly executed – proof or invoice was completely missing, while they continued to claim otherwise. Upon cancellation of service, no contact, but immediately a bill AND threats of collection. The responsible person hides behind their employer, who then circulates emotional emails on behalf of the entire team with terms like 'stink for thank you' and everyone in CC. Super unprofessional, defensive and VERY customer-unfriendly. NOTE: Very long toes when it comes to criticism Absolutely not recommended.

As a consumer, I feel very small compared to large companies like yours, and I would not consider legal action without solid evidence and certainty. First: The delay in the property transfer was caused by the division of apartment ownership, which constitutes an overwhelming situation. According to the contract, no fine (interest compensation) may be charged in such cases. Second: One of your real estate agents (I can name it if necessary) clearly promised in an email that a supplementary agreement could be signed to confirm the new delivery date. Your company later avoided responsibility. Third: In my email, I indicated that I would write down my actual experience and publish it after review by a legal advisor. This is completely different from what you claim – that I was planning to 'damage your reputation publicly'. Make sure your claims are correct! I can send you a direct screenshot of the email if necessary. Original message: I have dealt with unresolved disputes over delayed property transfer and misleading information about service costs. Choosing a real estate agent for the sale of what has been your home for 17 years is not easy. Do you choose a business-like agent who seems overrepresented in your neighborhood or a relatively new entrant to your neighborhood who feels immediately pleasant and personal at first impression? I did the latter by following my gut feeling and haven't regretted it for a single minute! Nick is a nice real estate agent who comes prepared and listens to your wishes. From day one, you notice that it’s not just a sales pitch. There was immediate openness and involvement from the start through a group app with Nick and the back office for important information exchange. When necessary, phone calls were also quickly made. And always reachable, as I experienced it. Therefore, I really recommend these agents because nothing but compliments for this team that says things well but above all does them well!

Everything went smoothly, incredibly nice guidance in staging/presentation. Marlies has a great network and fantastic sales skills.

For those who find the story a bit too long, a short message. Be careful with one of the employees. Some time ago we viewed a house for sale via At Home. Our appointment was with one of the real estate agents. He initially seems nice but ultimately everyone's true nature comes to the surface. After the viewing, we made an offer on the house. The next day we were called and told that the house was almost ours, but we were in competition with another party. The message was whether we could increase our bid. If we did this, the house would certainly be ours. Ultimately, we did so and we thought we had bought a house. Afterwards, we were called again and he told us that there was an additional requirement. We had to arrange our mortgage through Hypotake4You. He had good connections with this advisor and thus the seller had certainty that we could also borrow the offered amount. This is actually quite superfluous since we made our offer subject to financing. A quick Google search for Hypotake4You reveals: It's the neighbor of AtHome. In other words: the real estate agent wanted (his friends) to make some money (have made) at our expense. Based on this condition, we withdrew our bid. Conclusion: the real estate agent conducts an unfair business and tries to earn extra money at the expense of others. Real estate agents already have a bad name and people like this confirm it! Advice to everyone: Do not do business with AtHome! Nobody (except them) will benefit much from this. Throughout Barendrecht, we now see advertising boards for AtHome real estate agency. You as (seller): Consider that you pay for that. Is that really necessary? There are still plenty of other agents in the region who are more honest and don't all place unnecessary advertisements.

Looking for a reliable real estate agent without smooth talk? Then you definitely should NOT go to this agency and René van Nierop! Promises that are not kept, language errors in the brochure, access doors that were not closed after a viewing and much more, but the worst was a forgotten viewing (with people who came from far away!!). Our house was for sale for 7 months during which we repeatedly heard that it was a “difficult house” in a “difficult village”. Lowering the price at our insistence while the original asking price (confirmed by several other real estate agents in the region) was more than realistic. We were discouraged. After the forgotten viewing, we had enough and looked for another agent. Within 3 (!!!!) weeks, our house was sold subject to conditions and recently definitively sold. With an agent who luckily does understand how it works! Very special are the positive reviews (see also Facebook). Majority of those reactions originating from own employees and family/friends/acquaintances. No cure, no pay sounds very attractive but ultimately you get absolutely nothing out of it with this party.

Really not recommended, the gentlemen of At home real estate! If you're looking for a realtor to sell your house in Barendrecht and surrounding areas, I’ll go with Jaap Vin, Q makelaar, Woonvisie or another realtor. Honest, reliable and genuine is what a seller looks for in a realtor. The bad reviews on Facebook have all been removed, and the good reviews are very coincidentally friends of the gentlemen.

Very negative experience as a buyer, Home 4 You was the selling broker in our case. Truly no good word for Home 4 You. <span class='text-oranje-500'>Home 4 You</span> asked us to submit documents that they should have presented to us themselves. Less than 24 hours after we sent them, they terminated the purchase process without giving a reason. They played and misled us. Buyers beware! Update November 14, 2023: The broker calls to 'amicably' ask to remove the above review. He shows no remorse or responsibility for the experience we had with this broker. He also cannot give an acceptable argument to remove the review. After repeated explanations that our experience is what it is and that I still stand by the review, the conversation once again reveals that this broker communicates very laboriously and puts his own interests first. All he cared about was removing the negative review without any expression of having learned something or thinking about why someone takes the time and effort to write such a review. When I indicated that I would also include the phone call in the review, the response was that he would anticipate it and that I would see what would happen... I repeat my previous advice to buyers: be warned! This broker did not have our best interests at heart, possibly not yours either.
