Communication was not smooth, a few times received incorrect information regarding e.a. viewings in combination with open house days. Satisfied with the final result, but had to contact ourselves a lot to get information and to correct errors. Feeling that the office easily got away with it (rejecting viewing requests and redirecting to open house days). The worst real estate agency I have ever seen. Completely incompetent, rude and negligent. I'm amazed they haven't been declared bankrupt yet. Fréderique Luikinga was the agent who had been assigned to our apartment, and she and her team are completely incompetent. They made an unbelievable number of mistakes at every step, but never did anything to offer their apologies or correct the situation. Frederique was late for the viewing, so the tenant showed us the apartment. When we moved in, it was completely dirty. Bosch & Duyn had skipped the cleaning. There were stains everywhere, including food stains on the countertops. There was also trash on the floor. When we told Frederique about the cleaning problems, she screamed at us over the phone: 'If you don't like the state, we'll give the apartment to someone else.' Then they gave us the contract, but there were many typos and other errors in it. They had even misspelled our names. We discovered the errors and reported them, but only a few were corrected. They had to correct the contract five times in a number of weeks after we moved in, and even then there were still errors at the end. And they didn't provide us with a part of the legally required documents, despite our repeatedly asking for them. Now we had problems with the utilities. We didn't know there was a problem, but it turned out that Frederique had received a letter from the utility company two weeks ago, but only two weeks later, the day before the utility company would have given us a fine, she let something slip. Frederique should be immediately fired, because she's a burden and generally just a terrible person. Get rid of her.

Useless. Answered the necessary questions by phone, which indicated that the property would be suitable. Upon arriving at the property, it turns out the current occupant is still present and gives us a half tour, which is fine. Appointment at 16:00 with the real estate agent, arrives at 16:05 and does not show around, but hands over a brochure that I had already found on the website this week. Says nothing about the property and then at 16:10 the bell rings: another viewing. Not communicated to us and we are actually pushed towards the front door to make way for the next appointment. What a disgrace. Not to mention all the other additional rules that are not reported on Funda, but certainly relevant for a tenant.

Shocking how these people handle a sale! Upon inspection, inquiries were made about floor joists etc. and it was told that they had been treated and in good condition. After accepting our offer, a 5 year old report was released stating that at JvGalenlaan the beams had brown rot and mold and needed to be repaired immediately. This also came up in a new report, apparently nothing has been done. Upon inquiry, the sale was immediately blown off and these fraudsters are now looking for a next victim. You have been warned!

Wij hebben een dag voordat de inschrijving sloot contact opgenomen met Teer. Zij hebben ons toen nog kunnen helpen met het doen van een reëel bod op de woning. Ook in het na proces zijn wij zeer professioneel en goed geholpen.

After a good orientating conversation and a well-founded property valuation, I gave the sales mandate to Teer without hesitation. Within two months the house was then sold. As a tenant, I would look for another property and definitely not do business with them. The property is rented to you through them; they only act as an intermediary where they draw up the rental agreement, you pay the first rent to them, and a (photo) report was made during key handover without the presence of the new tenant regarding the condition of the property. Then you hear nothing more until you want to terminate the lease. Apparently, it is expected that you conduct correspondence about this with them and you will be confronted with all sorts of procedures that do not describe anywhere how you should leave the property. Nothing about this is stated in the rental agreement. Then their friendliness suddenly disappears completely, although they themselves are not mentioned anywhere in the rental agreement as stakeholders. They send emails full of threats without first hearing both sides and if a less friendly reaction follows, they are then surprised. Empty statements such as that the termination of the lease was not done on time because the landlord decides not to pick up the registered letter and that an extra month's rent should therefore be paid. Luckily I hadn’t paid the last month's rent yet, because I quickly noticed that this would become a discussion where you, as a tenant, always get the short end of the stick, because you can whistle for the return of the security deposit. I terminated the lease registered by post and also registered by email so they had no leg to stand on. I would therefore advise Lighthouse Property to quickly return to school with regard to all current case law on rental agreements and advise them to delete the clauses and conditions invented by themselves, as these are not included anywhere in the rental agreement and have long been condemned by judges as unreasonable disadvantageous terms.

We used Lighthouse to find a rental apartment when we first moved to the Netherlands and were very impressed by their quick response and professionalism. They also helped us with the purchase of a house a year later and gave us great advice along the way to find the perfect home.
