It was absolutely a terrible experience. Our realtor was Marieke Van den Bos for both the sale and purchase of a house in Haarlem. Firstly, they couldn't sell the house in the center of Haarlem despite the low price, which is incredibly unbelievable given the current market. Luckily, we contacted another real estate agency that could sell it without problems in less than 2 weeks. Secondly, they were completely unhelpful during the entire process of buying the house; they got paid euros because they literally did nothing and didn't even check basic things. They suggested a company for technical inspection that didn’t inspect properly. Therefore, we are now facing many problems and spending a lot of money. When we asked them for help again, they were completely useless once more and confirmed their incompetence.

I sold my house through Hoekstra en van Eck Haarlem and subsequently purchased a house together with my girlfriend. Our real estate agent was Tim Nijenhuis. My experience with Hoekstra en van Eck was that there was always time taken for questions and good attention was given to our wishes. Even in matters where advice was needed, this was neatly provided and substantiated, even in areas we hadn't initially thought of. What I personally found very pleasant was that there was a fixed price. And not such a construction with a higher price if more is obtained for the house (sale). Very nice. Tim said about this: 'Do you really think I would try harder in such a case? I always do my best!' I was helped very well during the entire process and would definitely recommend them.

Misleading advertising for houses on Funda. They are offering a house for sale with a so-called shared roof terrace. The advertisement is accompanied by several photos, including one of a roof terrace, which suggests that this is indeed the shared terrace belonging to the property. However, it turns out that the photo shows a terrace that does NOT belong to this property, but is private property of someone else. Instead, there is a piece of approximately ~2m² on the roof, which is indeed the shared roof terrace. 'A drink and a snack in the sun while chatting with your neighbors' has never been so enjoyable!
