Upon first contact, Joek showed up on his scooter in casual clothing, unlike other real estate agents who arrive in a suit with folders. It was a pleasant conversation where the feeling was immediately good. He is clear and honest, which also turned out to be the case during the entire sales process. Joek even solved a problem with the door to the garden! When we decided to engage Joek, he immediately got to work. 07 Sep 2025My son lived happily in a room through PMA Real Estate for over two years. The accommodation was neat and the communication was slow in some cases, but ultimately issues were resolved. The living experience itself was therefore predominantly positive. However, the handling of the lease termination deserves attention and is important for future tenants – especially students who rent jointly – to be aware of. My son formally and correctly terminated his rental agreement, handed over the property without defects, and returned the keys after a final inspection where no damage or arrears were found. Nevertheless, PMA continues to refuse to refund the paid share of the deposit (€750), citing the reason that the other tenant is still residing in the property. Despite multiple neat and legally substantiated requests, substantive responses remained absent. The fact that I repeatedly dealt with changing contact persons – one time Kees, then Tjeerd – did not contribute to clarity or accountability. The email I received as a last response literally read: “I understand that you would like to direct things according to your own hand and good thinking but the real world works differently.” A very unprofessional tone that does not suit a rental organization and certainly not when it comes to students and parents who want to conclude matters correctly. So pay close attention if you are moving into a property with multiple tenants through PMA: the contract is shared, but the deposit is not held per person. This can cost you dearly upon check-out – even if you have correctly terminated, handed over, and paid your own share. In our case, the deposit payment was divided between two people, but upon departure, this is suddenly no longer taken into account. Hopefully, this feedback will lead to improvement in communication and processing in the future. Meanwhile, three weeks have passed, the other resident has also left the property. But we still haven't received the deposit back. Emails are not being answered. Very regrettable and unprofessional. I have therefore reduced the rating to 1 star.

It took several weeks before we could live normally in our apartment again (no hot water, broken terrace door, broken heating...). They didn't respond and initially said it could be our fault. We had to solve many problems ourselves. And now they don't even want to refund our deposit for energy bills we have never heard of, which they can’t even pay and which are not in the contract... Very disappointing and such behavior is clearly unreliable for both parties: the tenant or the owner. (We often rent apartments and this is the worst time!!!!)

Because this was not done for the heating and hot water of the property, the landlord correctly charged you that amount for the period you lived there and provided you with all invoices. All other issues you mentioned which are normal for a home have been resolved promptly, but some minor repairs fall under the responsibility of the tenant, as you are the one using the property. Thoughtful and proactive throughout the process, approaching things in a very low-threshold manner. Critical towards the other party and precise in evaluating the offered real estate as well as the documentation during the buying process. Can sometimes be overwhelming due to the flood of information coming your way, but that doesn't make the collaboration any less pleasant.

After we had already viewed the house ourselves, Dennis was able to quickly fly in for the second viewing after a pleasant and personal introductory meeting and helped us with advice and action, so that we ultimately purchased our new place within a week of searching! Always easily accessible for questions, critical and proactive. Even after the purchase, Dennis is helpful and likes to think along about things like contractors etc. Definitely recommended to hire him if you want to buy a house in the region!

He helped her find an apartment that met all her requirements and fit within her budget within a few weeks. I got in touch with him after having viewed apartments for weeks and rejected offers. After two months of searching, I found an apartment that really appealed to me, so I decided to approach Barry and try my luck. Within four days of the collaboration, the offer was accepted. The entire process went smoothly and the real estate agent was present throughout. I can wholeheartedly recommend Barry, because he is transparent, realistic, very knowledgeable and knows almost all real estate agents/notaries in the city, which is very handy during bidding negotiations.

His experience was very positive, and because we were also looking for a new home, we had a conversation with them to have them act as our buyer's agent to find us a house. By chance, they just got a house for sale that perfectly matched our wishes, so we really wanted it. They couldn’t naturally be our buyer's agent then and handled this very ethically. During the purchase process, we were guided very well by them, paying attention to our situation. We lived in our previous home for 36 years, so saying goodbye is also a very emotional process. They supported us very well in that too. It’s logical that we wanted to entrust them with the sale of our old house. They created a neat sales report and guided the sale of our previous house very well. We didn't have to worry about anything and were completely relieved by them. In summary, Huisman and Hoogendoorn is a very good real estate agent with a very strong personal approach and understanding for your personal situation, making the sale of a house filled with precious memories a process that runs smoothly. Dear Ms. Stöve, From your response, we understand that you are very frustrated about the sale of your home in Aalsmeer. As a purchasing agent, we did indeed purchase the property for our clients. It is true that another colleague from our office had a sales consultation with you on August 5, 2022. However, you chose to have your home listed for sale with another, not locally known real estate agent. The value given by our broker on August 5, 2022, was in a sharply fluctuating (housing) market due to the war in Ukraine. As a result, interest rates and energy costs also rose considerably, causing much uncertainty in the (housing) market. As a purchasing agent, we strongly negotiated with your (non-local) sales broker in May 2023, and a purchase agreement was signed on May 19, 2023 (8 ½ months after August 5, 2022). The selling price? You yourself agreed to that, otherwise there would not have been a price agreement. We find it particularly disappointing that you rate us so negatively on Google while we did not act for you. From all reviews of other clients about Huisman Hoogendoorn Makelaars on Google, Facebook and Funda, you can see that we are assessed as reliable, active and strong in negotiating. Incidentally, we sincerely hope that you have found a new, pleasant living environment in the rural area of North Holland!
