In 2014, we bought a house in Amersfoort through Drenth Makelaars. They were the real estate agent of the selling party. Nevertheless, the contact was particularly pleasant, correct and pragmatic. Even then, we were certain that if we were to sell our house, we would choose this realtor. Sander van Dronkelaar and his colleagues are friendly professionals. In the years following 2014, we maintained some contact with Drenth Makelaars. Sometimes purely informative, sometimes focused with a home visit. Without invoices. It felt like a logical partner, just as you can have contact with a notary or the municipality. At the end of 2021, we indeed decided to move from Amersfoort to Scherpenzeel. The market has completely turned upside down, so we decided to use Drenth Makelaars first as a buying realtor. As expected, this initially resulted in some disappointments but ultimately we were successful. We bought a beautiful house in Scherpenzeel under the guidance of Drenth Makelaars. The price is market-conform but not 'over the top'. Our own house in Amersfoort was subsequently sold in a short time, also for a market-conform price. The entire procedure from purchase to sale went perfectly. We would still like to mention the beautiful brochure that was made of our house. And the online document flow, including the online signing of the purchase agreements. Of course, these kinds of things create tensions but Drenth was always available for consultation, reflection and decisions. The complete openness with regard to the cost structure is also a relief. Readers of this piece who are looking for a realtor in the Amersfoort region are advised to definitely talk to Sander and/or colleagues. Fair enough, we have no experience with other realtors in this region but we can hardly imagine that the service elsewhere is better.

Through word of mouth, we were tipped off about Drenth, and from the very first telephone introduction (this was with Ellen), the contact was very pleasant and personal. Soon Sander came into the picture because a house came up for sale that perfectly suited us. Thanks to Sander's direct and adequate support, we managed to buy this house! We had a bad experience with Drenth Makelaars, specifically with Sander van Dronkelaar. We placed a bid on a house in Zeewolde, well above the asking price. Sander initially indicated that we would have the highest bid because he spent over an hour on the phone asking us about our financial situation. Afterwards, he called to report that another buyer had been selected. When we inquired about the reason, Sander stated that there was another HIGHER bid and without a condition of financing. We checked this later and it turns out not to be true. Our offer was the highest. Also, the house did indeed have a condition. Sander abused his position as an agent. This kind of practice gives real estate brokerage a bad image. The government must intervene quickly so that such practices no longer occur. Honesty is always the best policy. There is no reason to make us feel like we have to bid even higher for a next house to stand a chance. I explicitly asked if the other bid was higher and Sander stated that it was the case. It's a shame we missed out on the house, and it’s even more annoying that it happened in an unfair way.
