We were scammed by this real estate agent, but when you show that you are aware of the law, they quickly reverse the incorrectly charged costs (they charged the same costs to both buyer and seller, which is legally prohibited) fortunately. They distinguish themselves by at least admitting that they exploit the ignorance of their customers, others real estate agents could still learn from them.

Don't rent via this real estate agent, it saves you a lot of trouble!!! Absolutely worthless real estate agent. You may not have contact with the landlord and everything goes through your contact person. When I had said my rent was paid, an end inspection was done and it was stated that there was little to no damage and the apartment was neat. Afterwards I heard nothing for longer than a month and had to chase my deposit myself. After not hearing anything for a month, only 20% of the paid deposit was refunded to me. All of a sudden there were various things wrong and broken, while that wasn't in the report which was drawn up by Govaert themselves. They make things up afterwards and a month after you've moved out of your apartment all of a sudden various cost items are invented. Straight theft in my opinion and easy money making. They should be ashamed of themselves. Don't rent via this real estate agent, it saves you a lot of trouble!!!

The personal contacts were always very pleasant. It did surprise me that the viewings were partly done by a substitute of the substitute. The tips regarding tidying up and furnishing the house are highly appreciated. The 'For Sale' sign has been standing in the garden for a long time, even after the house had been sold weeks ago. I advise to act faster in this regard. Most important result: the house has been sold for the price we had in mind.

Terrible office with terrible communication. The first time I met them at the office, it was to pick up my keys. The person who handled my case found it funny to joke around with me and say they didn't have the keys. After two hours of driving, I found that not funny. They also hesitated to charge you for things that are not legal. I had to call a lawyer once to stop them, because they made a mistake in the contract that prevented them from increasing my rent. Actually, they are never allowed to increase my rent and yet they tried a few times. The only time they were nice and professional was when they called to ask when I planned to move, because the landlord forced them to pay the difference that they couldn't charge me. With their attitude and behavior, I would gladly live here for another 20 years with a frozen rent 🤗

Do not do business with this company. They are scammers, steal your money and bring nothing but misery. The administration is not in order, resulting in you repeatedly receiving incorrect invoices for extremely high amounts that were not contractually agreed upon (in my case, bizarrely high costs were charged that were not my responsibility). Subsequently, you incur collection fees and they threaten further action because you have not paid the invoices. After 20 times of emailing and calling, during which they are almost always unreachable, I was finally vindicated with various excuses including “transition to a new administration”, “very busy”, “overworked employees”, etc. Then still had to wait half a year and repeatedly remind them to get money back, which amounted to seriously large amounts (1000+ euros). During the final inspection where both the landlord and an employee of Govaert were present, it was agreed that 100 euros would be withheld from the deposit due to a door that was no longer neat. This was clearly agreed in writing in various email correspondence. Subsequently, a 3x higher amount was withheld from the deposit. The money was never seen again. Communication is impossible, even email correspondence is in flawed Dutch. This company is truly heartbreaking. In addition to dozens of hours and attempts trying to get your money back (which ran from November 2023 to June 2024), it’s a terribly rude way to treat customers. I wholeheartedly advise everyone to rent your home anywhere but here. I also urge potential landlords to place their real estate elsewhere, because they also treat the landlords badly.

Your electric scooter does not belong on the bike path within the built-up area but on the road. And certainly not at full speed, and certainly not overtaking in the bend and scaring other cyclists - and if you then hang behind cyclists, it is useless to start tailgating. To overtake them, you could suddenly move over to the road.

Getting to know Govaert during a viewing. Due to very fine and personal contact during that process, we subsequently asked Arne to help us with buying our house. Which happened. With all his knowledge about Amersfoort, Govaert is the real estate agent to buy or sell a house in that region.

I would like to share my experience with renting. Pim was very helpful from the beginning and understood my needs during the first viewing and helped me find a suitable apartment. My advice to future renters is: be clear about your wishes, whether you need a larger apartment or want to live close to facilities. Be sure, direct and clear and make sure you have the right documents at hand (and also be polite!). That way, the rental team can help you as best as possible.
