I rented a house from this company Houses4Let in Amstelveen for two years. The owner of the property usually had a respectful relationship, although some infringements (such as unexpected visits) were NEVER mediated by this company, which is illegal. The representative of Houses4Let always acted in a very uncompromising, even rude manner towards the tenants, to always defend the interests of the landlord. It seemed that I, as a client, was doing her a favor. Until the day came when, under pressure from the Affordable Rental Law (which was adopted in June 2024), they decided that the landlord would take possession of the property. From that day on, everything changed for the worse. They ordered a series of measures I had to carry out: bathroom renovation, deep cleaning (carried out by professional companies - Patricia from Houses4Let emphasized this information emphatically), as well as countless other minor renovations (all before settling!). At the end of the checkout, even more demands were made - according to them, the “deep cleaning” was not enough (maybe there is an “ultradep cleaning”?), as well as numerous other “adjustments” that I had to make (they provided no evidence of these adjustments). Because I disagreed, Mrs. Patricia practically threw me out of the house. Afterwards, I tried several times to get my deposit back for the 2 rental prices I had paid, but they never returned it. It seems they did not take into account that I actually paid more than a thousand euros for cleaning plus renovations. My warning is: do not trust this company. Try renting or selling your property through another real estate agency that is more involved with consumers. My deposit has not yet been paid and it is now six months since the rental agreement ended. Don't let what happened to me happen to you. Many companies try to make a profit from your deposit. Look at Amsterdam news and confirm that yourself.
