The latter could also have been better in my journey given relevant information was not shared.

Today we had a very disappointing experience with the appointment we had booked in Haarlem. We were there too early for the viewing, together with a few others, and waited for the real estate agent, but no one showed up. We rang multiple times, but no one answered. After contacting the office by phone, we were told that the appointment 'would never go through' because it was supposed to be scheduled an hour earlier – news for us all, as we had received a confirmation this morning with the (wrong) time clearly stated. When we explained the situation, there was no apology, only a blunt reaction that we could no longer view the property. Very unprofessional and unfriendly. A positive point: the doorbell looked great.

I bought a house through BIC and have had several problems with it. They are absolutely not transparent and do not act in the interest of the seller.

From the perspective of a tenant, this company is a disaster. It's by far the worst I've experienced in Amsterdam. They don't respond outside of office hours to phone calls or emails, not even for urgent or emergency issues. They are extremely slow in handling problems (we have now been waiting for over a month for a simple repair) and it can take days before we get a response to an email. I would never recommend them to a homeowner.
