I called this office more than 10 days ago to ask for contact. It was promised that someone would call back, but I never heard anything. My colleague also tried to call, but got no response either. It is particularly unfortunate that a real estate office wanting to sell properties is barely reachable. The lady at the reception was furthermore not helpful and seemed not to know how to deal with customers. Instead of listening, she tried to turn the situation around, which only made the conversation more frustrating. Based on my experience, I strongly advise against doing business with this office. You are better off selling your property yourself – the chance that you get results faster seems greater to me. A string of 'oops-moments' that you rather wouldn't have when buying a house. A small glimpse into our trick box: • Mathematics is an opinion: The purchase price in the deed didn't match. When we pointed this out, we were asked what we thought they should do. (Tip: Maybe filling in the correct numbers?) • Privacy? Which privacy?: Our complete purchase deed including all our personal data was sent without hesitation to a stranger. AVG-proof? Definitely not. Sloppy? Absolutely. • The disappearing solar panels: There were 24 on Funda, but there turned out to be 22 on the roof. Apparently, solar panels at Smolders are like socks in the washing machine: a few always go missing. • The charging station lottery: In the advertisement it said 'present', but when signing, it turned out to be 'to be transferred'. A small detail, just like the fact that they promise to respond within a week to complaints, but then keep radio silence. As soon as the signature is there, every problem suddenly becomes your problem. At this office you don't just get a house, but also a free course on 'how do I check someone else's work'. Conclusion: Do you have steel nerves and like to take advertisement texts with a large pinch of salt? Then you're in the right place. I had made a request for a viewing of a penthouse (with recreational use) in Cadzand with Jan de Dobbelaere. We agreed there and Jan showed me around (with few words/explanations). Also viewed the associated wellness area and asked about the procedure/use of the wellness (exclusive or shared use, sharing with the chalet park next door? etc.). This was not entirely clear how that is arranged.(?) I left with a number of questions which I subsequently drafted and sent by email to the real estate agent. Questions about the rental agreement of the landlord and previous rental income from the apartments. Since you are obliged to rent out the plot, these are legitimate questions that are important for further consideration. After all, Jan could not answer these questions on the spot. Logical; However, after waiting more than a week, we still had heard nothing or received an email. Subsequently, we decided not to proceed and look elsewhere for a holiday home. We also shared this by email, but received no response here either. A pity, and particularly disappointing, because we were enthusiastic about the property. As far as I am concerned, a missed opportunity.
