I purchased my current home in April with the help of Ton. Extremely well assisted and supported! He was there for every viewing, checks everything that you as a layman in the housing market wouldn't think of, and is always available for any questions. Without Ton as a buyer's agent, I would almost certainly not have been able to acquire a home in these difficult times. Partly thanks to his quick action, it did work out! Ton, thank you again very much for all your good care!

Not knowing the law and then threatening via email. Never experienced anything so clumsy. Do not cooperate. It was like that in 2021. Still applies in 2025.

Extremely bad appraiser. To mention in the appraisal report that there are no solar panels present.. (16 panels present!!), That there is no energy label (energy label A !!!!) and the house is not insulated. (what do you think with energy label A..) to then undervalue the house. Because of this man, 3 parties were disadvantaged. This man should be reprimanded severely by the NWWI or even better, removed from his position. Fortunately, appraiser 2 and appraiser 3 were fantastic. (they were independent and therefore not affiliated with Westerhoven) In one word: Scandalous.

We rented a small house at Arendsweg 93 in Beverwijk through Portegies. Afterwards, it turned out that the rental was not conducted properly, which meant we could only move out 4 months after the death of our daughter. Portegies should have checked everything thoroughly beforehand before this house was rented to us because it wasn't in order with regards to paperwork. We were then able to get a house through them that was approximately €700 more expensive. This never went ahead because someone else offered a higher bid. Forced by necessity, we moved to Germany to my parents because we couldn’t find anything quickly here. Without any pardon compensation or other help, we had to figure it out ourselves. So always be careful with them and have the paperwork checked by a specialist.

Today I received my keys for a rental property from Orange Wonen Makelaars. It doesn't happen often that I feel compelled to write a review, but dealing with Irina and her husband was truly fantastic. After living abroad for several years, I was nervous about renting and had noticed that most real estate agents had a rather aloof attitude towards my needs. It was essentially take it or leave it and virtually no understanding of what I was trying to achieve. During the viewing of the apartment we subsequently rented, we were initially shown around by Alex, who I believe is the owner of Orange Wonen Makerlaars together with Irina who helped us make a well-considered decision without any pressure. Her attention to detail and relaxed manner was a pleasant change from other agents we had met and her advice was well thought out and unbiased. From the moment of the first viewing of the apartment and ultimately receiving the keys. All in all, a true pleasure to deal with.

It is generally known how difficult it is to get a response from a real estate agent when looking for a home in Amsterdam. Orange Wonen, however, responded immediately to our request for one of their homes. Irina guided us through the entire process and helped us actually get the home from the landlord. We met them just when we had almost given up hope of finding a home. We can't thank them enough. When our current contract expires, we know we don't have to worry, because we have a real estate agent who will help us again in finding the home that best suits us.

Irina: Not at all helpful. The worst experience an expat can have. You're better off talking to someone else. No employment contract? Then you won't get any living space, NOT even if you offer to pay 3-6 months in advance (6 months is the minimal rental period in many cases). Advance payment = YOU GET THE MONEY. Employment contract =? Is that a guarantee? It could be, but is it a better guarantee than cash upfront? By the way: the advertisement is still online (after 1 month and 10 days), despite the fact that 'many people inform'. Also: the advertisement is quite brief, I've already received a lot of questions... No real explanation for the rejection, I felt a bit discriminated against. Irina, 'the real professional', has lost reliable tenants and is still losing them. That's bad for the business, isn't it? I feel sorry for the landlord. I really hope you get the rent, Irina, you still have a lot to learn about this profession.

Irina is ons enorm tot steun geweest. We kwamen bij Orange Wonen terecht toen we (bijna) de hoop hadden opgegeven om binnen de kortst mogelijke tijd een fatsoenlijke accommodatie te vinden. Irina reageerde altijd snel op onze vragen, vanaf de eerste afspraak tot aan het inchecken en zelfs daarna zorgde ze ervoor dat we ons goed geïnstalleerd voelden. Dit is dus niet zomaar een recensie voor Orange Wonen, maar een blijk van waardering voor deze fantastische persoon die ons leven in Nederland een stuk makkelijker heeft gemaakt. Complimenten aan Orange Wonen!

Starting a life in another country is no easy task, but Irina and Alex do everything they can to help us in this adventure. They are always willing to provide detailed answers to our questions within an impressive time frame. Dealing with rental agencies in the Netherlands can be very difficult and it's almost impossible to get the right attention, but with Orange Wonen I feel that they know there is also a life on the other side and therefore they will always be my first choice if I need to rent or buy another apartment/house.

Top experience! Evenings and weekends were also made time for a viewing! Easy, personal and quick communication via Whatsapp as well. From the viewing to the move, everything took us two weeks. Super service. Everywhere you pay a lot of money as a tenant for mediation, keys, administrative costs etc. Orange Wonen works differently, because the landlord pays for the service and not the tenant. This makes finding a home affordable again. Very happy with this organization.

Elke ervaring is anders; die van mij was geweldig. Ik moest een kamer vinden voor mijn kind, dat terugging naar Utrecht om verder te studeren en tegelijkertijd aan een project werkte op een afgelegen locatie waar soms alleen via een sms-bericht kon worden gecommuniceerd. Vergeet zelfs Zoom of FaceTime. Ik had het geluk dat ik een paar bezichtigingen via Kamernet kon regelen. Sommige daarvan deden ze met een vriend die een telefoon vasthield; andere werden begeleid door een makelaar die de conferentie leidde. De eerste, met Rotsvast, was een regelrechte schande. Ze stuurden een uitnodiging voor een bezichtiging, wetende dat iemand anders mijn kind zou vertegenwoordigen. Maar toen die persoon bij de bezichtiging arriveerde, werd hij niet binnengelaten. De volgende bezichtiging was met een makelaar en verliep goed via FaceTime, maar de eigenaar besloot het appartement aan iemand anders te verhuren. Kamernet was niet veel beter: de meeste van mijn verzoeken werden genegeerd. Sommige werden wel beantwoord, maar toen huisgenoten erachter kwamen dat een persoonlijke bezichtiging niet mogelijk was, annuleerden ze de uitnodiging. Ik denk dat iedereen die op zoek is naar een woning in de regio Utrecht, genoeg soortgelijke verhalen kan delen. Brick Brokers was echter fantastisch. Ik vond hun advertentie op Pararius of een vergelijkbare website. Omdat ik geen Pararius-abonnee ben, kon ik ze niet via het platform bereiken, maar ik vond hun gegevens online en nam op 30 november contact met ze op via e-mail. Jordy Mulder, een makelaar, was flexibel genoeg om een ​​FaceTime-bezichtiging aan te bieden. Op 4 december hadden we de bezichtiging; de volgende dag stuurde ik aanvullende documentatie. Die zaterdag kreeg ik een bericht dat het contract begin de volgende week naar me zou worden verzonden, en dat gebeurde ook (ik ontving het op dinsdag). Op woensdag beantwoordde Jordy geduldig een lange lijst met mijn vragen en op donderdag 11 december hadden we een getekend contract. Het hele proces duurde minder dan twee weken. Ik moest een paar concessies doen – zoals het eerder verhuren van de woning dan nodig was – maar dat was een kleine prijs voor de gemoedsrust, wetende dat mijn kind een woning zal hebben als ze terugkeren naar Utrecht. Ik ben zeer dankbaar voor de dienstverlening van Brick Brokers en de heer Mulder.

Ik heb het al vaak geprobeerd (4 keer een abonnement), maar het werkte nooit. Verspilling van tijd en geld. Ik dacht dat ik misschien met iemand kon werken die Nederlands sprak. Maar goed, nooit meer.

Als Nederlanders, net als ik, meerdere keren voor dit abonnement hadden betaald, zouden ze denk ik nog veel meer klagen dan ik nu al doe, omdat ik weet hoe Nederlanders met hun financiën omgaan. Ik wil iedereen nogmaals waarschuwen om geen geld aan dit abonnement te verspillen.

Echt een hele goede ervaring met Brick Brokers, ze hebben me super snel aan een woning geholpen, ze geven altijd eerlijk advies en op basis daarvan kan je een goede keuze maken.

Ze zijn geen fan van expats, ze nemen je geld aan en geven de lokale bevolking hun diensten. Bekijk de recensies: alle expats hebben vreselijke ervaringen gehad. Ik raad ze absoluut niet aan.
