I think you are only truly professional when you can remain correct and polite even after terminating an assignment. If you disagree with Jose, you apparently become her enemy and encounter solely obstruction. This behavior seems very childish to us. Ultimately, we still found the brochure ourselves on the computer. This means that her pure obstruction is completely useless and nonsensical.
