I paid €385 as a deposit, and he returned me €274.12. I asked for the bill to check whether we consumed more g/w/e than we paid, but he did not send me the exact bill. I sent him multiple emails requesting one, but he kept dodging providing the documents. I asked him why the deposit was deducted and he said that he had to pay for cleaning up the garbage. Oh, don’t get me wrong, so why was the house such a mess when we moved in? It's been almost a year since this happened, but it still gets on my nerves. I have attached our screenshots of our conversations on WhatsApp. When I sent him the video that I made when I arrived there, and also the video attached to this comment, he claimed that it wasn’t true, and then sent me a screenshot of a video he made in June/2022, which he showed me during a house visit while showing me the video. He claimed that the photo showed how the house was on the day we moved in. That's practically nonsense. The guy didn't even try to beat the recording date. I moved out on 31/8/2022, he showed me a screenshot of a video he made in June/2022, saying that this is exactly the status of the house when we moved in. This has been THE WORST rental experience of my life. I have consulted some legal advice and they said that the contract was very tricky. Some articles were removed, but remained ominous.
