The dirtiest bureau of them all. Hahaha, they stole my entire deposit to pay for their poor maintenance that caused a large leak. Funny that they didn't even send me what was left of my deposit. These people are terrible scammers.

The contact was very pleasant from the beginning. Helpful and good ideas and always ready to assist when something unexpected occurred. Wouldn't know a better realtor, chapeau!

I have now been able to rent an apartment within 3 weeks through mijnhuisenik in Maastricht. I have now been living in the apartment for 2 months, and I have nothing but compliments to offer this real estate agency. From the moment of the viewing until now, they have been super helpful. In particular, I would like to thank Ben. He gave me tips during the viewing on how I could increase my chances with the owner as a candidate to be selected. Even now that I am encountering a number of issues within the apartment, he has been super helpful, thinks along about solutions, and is fully committed to improving my living enjoyment. Furthermore, I always receive an answer to my emails within 1 working day. The handyman/plumber they employ is also a top performer. He came over once for a leak, and fixed it within 10 minutes. What I do have to point out is that I did not receive matching invoices, but after sending one email, apologies were immediately offered, and it was corrected. Also, the brochure stated that there would be a dryer in the apartment, but this is not the case. I was told that the washing machine would be a dryer, but this is not so. Mijnhuisenik, thank you for your efforts. I will definitely recommend you to other people looking for housing.

If you can, don't rent from them. When we received the key to the apartment, there was mold and grease stains everywhere, so we had to clean for a week to make it livable. But upon handover, you get a list of everything you have to clean, and if they think it hasn’t been cleaned well enough, you pay 50 euros per point. We also experienced twice that someone walked into the apartment without knocking to take pictures and look around, but when we mentioned this, we were addressed in a threatening manner. Several broken items had been reported by us, but no one ever came to fix them. In addition, we had a balcony made of pallets which were completely rotten, so we couldn’t use it, but they didn't repair that either. When we handed over the apartment, many things were broken and to be sure I wouldn’t have problems with this, I took pictures of everything. During the final inspection, I gave them these photos again, after which I received photos from them a week later claiming those things weren’t broken when they did the handover, while I can clearly prove when my photos were taken. After which they acted threateningly again.

Very satisfied with the handling by Ms. Daniëlle Daman. As I would expect. She has repeatedly demonstrated that she functions expertly, driven and empathetic and is always 'on'. She stands by her word and doesn't sell nonsense. Top realtor for the private sector.

Still receiving emails half a year after moving out. Stories also of collateral damage to tenants as a result of their decisions. You may still have to pay rent after you've already returned the keys. In other words, think about your wallet and don't rent.

Terrible. An unethical attitude and the willingness to act inhumanely seem to be a hard requirement to work here. I had persistent problems with mold in the apartment, starting with being told to remove black mold from the freezer, which according to the agency did not exist in this apartment. After being advised to purchase my own freezer, I discovered that the freezer was actually part of the kitchen and full of mold. The smell of mold lingered after I had scraped it clean and due to the humidity in the apartment, mold began to form on the walls and ceiling. I reported this immediately and it took about half a year for them to resolve it. Again, I was told that I should simply remove the mold myself. Then they also bill you in such a way that you cannot set up an automated transfer, because you have to mention the invoice number. The invoices arrive (or not at all) at random times of the month and charge you a fee of €30 if you do not contact them to send you the invoice before the first of the month. This seems unnecessary and I have never experienced anything like it. Not being able to set up automated payments and then charging a fee before the payment deadline has passed, appears to be another way to make money from foreigners. Overall, I have witnessed the worst property management I have encountered in the Netherlands and cannot recommend any interaction with this agency.

Avoid Mijn Huis and Ik – Unethical and unreliable! I had a terrible experience with Mijn Huis and Ik after being wrongly charged € 5390.55 for a leak that wasn't my fault. They accused me of leaving the boiler door open, despite having asked me to do so for inspections. Subsequently, they claimed I was responsible for maintaining the boiler, which is absurd. I am a tenant, not a handyman, and should never have been asked to check such technical equipment. Worse still, I heard the landlord say in Dutch: 'I'm not going to pay for the damage', and then I was blamed without proper investigation. Vincent, the contact person, initially admitted that the problem was due to pressure issues but later changed his story and accused me. Their dishonesty and changing stories make it clear that they were looking for a scapegoat. This whole ordeal was stressful and I strongly advise you not to rent from this agency. They are unreliable and will shift the blame onto tenants instead of taking responsibility for their properties.

It is a very bad agency. The backyard is full of garbage and rats, sometimes also in the rooms. It's also very bad that their system is to always withhold 200 euros from your deposit and demand damages that don't exist. Arrogant and unprofessional staff, especially Nick Suppers. Terrible agency without integrity. To begin with, they tried to charge illegal administrative costs. They charged the rent too high and when I contacted the Rental Committee, they tried to make me think that I had no case. They lied multiple times to my face (I have verified it), while pretending to do me a favor and that I was being unreasonable. When I asked for my deposit back, they tried to withhold a lot of cleaning and repair costs, which they are not legally allowed to do. Only when I had to threaten to file a complaint with the municipality did they return what I was owed. The communication has been largely very unpleasant throughout. I know you can’t expect much from agencies that don't have an NVM license, but still I was very disappointed. To every tenant who reads this: don’t let them make you think you have no rights. It is their business model to mislead you into paying too much and they rely on you not knowing enough. Pay the illegal administrative costs and file a motion to get them back as soon as you rent, and they can't reject you anymore. Also contact the Rental Committee within 6 months to lower your rent, because you are definitely paying far too much. If they ever threaten to evict you, they almost always cannot. Ask them to show you their eviction papers and convince a judge that they are right. They can’t do it and they won’t do it, because then they are bluffing. The agency will probably respond to this review and say that these things are unfounded, but if you look at the other reviews, you know that it is true. Would not recommend it to anyone and I wish I could give 0 stars.

I have no complaints about them! Nick, Dianne and Lennart were always very kind, helpful and super fast in answering my emails. The few small times I had problems with my apartment, they took care of everything and the issues were resolved very quickly. Moreover, I am not Dutch and when I moved to the city, Janine was so kind as to explain how certain systems work here. I absolutely recommend them.

Run away from these fraudulent people. They are the worst housing corporation in Maastricht. Disregard any laws or covid rules. They do not have the official certificate of the housing company. Therefore, they do not adhere to any rules at all. They discriminate based on skin color and background and use interns to clean up their dirty jobs. They also sell your personal data to movers.

I had a viewing for an apartment rental. Very friendly staff and a pleasant tour. But when you are interested in the property, you have to transfer 500 euros to indicate that you are interested. You will get this money back, they say, if the landlord does not choose you as a tenant. However, you haven't seen a lease agreement yet. The terms for reimbursement state that if you are allocated the property and do not accept it, you will not get your money back. I think this is a very big risk because you don’t know what is in your rental contract and whether you agree with it. I am therefore not going to take this risk and I think it may even be prohibited. So not recommended.

When I inquired about the availability of the studio I want to view, I clearly asked if one cat was allowed and received a positive answer. Subsequently, I traveled for a long time to go see it and suddenly received an answer that cats are not allowed (it is also the reason for rejection). If I had been informed about this at all, I would not even waste half a day viewing it. It gives me quite a bad experience, therefore I do not find their service professional.
