Een andere woning lag vlak bij een drukke snelweg, en in plaats van ons af te raden, had ze ons 3 uur enkele reis laten reizen voor een bezichtiging. Ze stelde ook woningen voor in minder aantrekkelijke wijken van Maastricht, zoals Mariaberg en in de omliggende wijk "Parkstad". We hadden de indruk dat haar contacten met goede verkoopmakelaars zeer beperkt waren, dus probeerde ze ons over te halen een van de overgebleven huizen op de markt te kopen, in de hoop dat nietsvermoedende expats de problemen niet zouden opmerken. Gelukkig, en dankzij ons eigen uitgebreide onderzoek voor elke voorgestelde woning, hebben we die fout niet gemaakt. Het escaleerde uiteindelijk toen we besloten onze zoektocht uit te breiden naar een andere regio in Limburg die niet in onze schriftelijke overeenkomst met Laura stond en waar zij geen contacten had. We lieten haar weten wat we van plan waren en aanvankelijk stemde ze er schriftelijk mee in. Een week later gaf ze echter aan dat ze het toch niet zag zitten, uit angst dat ze "voor niets" zou werken. Dus annuleerde ze ons contract na 4-5 weken, maar ze hield de aanbetaling van € 750. Dit gebeurde nadat ze ons voornamelijk huizen had gestuurd die niet aan de afgesproken criteria voldeden en ons dus geen enkele potentieel geschikte woning kon laten zien! We voelden ons volledig in de steek gelaten midden in onze huizenjacht in het buitenland en op een verkopersmarkt waar een goed geconnecteerde aankoopmakelaar essentieel is om een ​​goede woning te vinden. Wees dus voorzichtig als een aankoopmakelaar niet op basis van "no cure, no pay" werkt. Het risico ligt bij u als uw makelaar niet presteert, geen goed netwerk heeft om geschikte woningen te vinden of denkt dat het voordeliger is om te stoppen met werken na het innen van de aanbetaling.
